Pffft. I am American and I am delightful.0 -
i have a really good guy, he still opens car doors for me, sometimes shows up with flowers, and just treats me nice. Never tells me I am fat, tells me to dress comfortable even though I like to dress up for him. He tells me not to wear make up he loves me just the way I am. Was married to a man who never gave complements in our 17 years of marriage and 4 years dating he never told me he loved me once said he didn't know what it was, never bought me anything, told me when I dressed up with garter belt and stockings (and was very slim) that I looked like a strung up chicken. Alcohol was # 1 in his life, which is why I divorced him0

This a nice, positive thread that some people are reading into just a bit too much. No need to overanalyze it or turn it into something negative. Love the good men! :drinker:0

Some men have learned how to be good men by being raised by a good man or a good woman. Others, have learned how to be a good man by knowing who they DON'T want to be like.
It's a good thread, too bad some have to come and stink it up.0 -

Quickly, ask his credit score, the summary of his portfolio, if he owns or rents, how many vehicles and recreationals vehicles he has, and if his pool is above or below ground!0 -

Luck lady!
Its not easy to find someone that loves you just the way you are and always says complimentary things..
Only an idiot would say that to a lady who was all dressed up in garters.
Bet you are also doing the right things for him....LOL

great way to start the weekend knowing these amazing ladies appreciate me!!!!0

Yes Blacklance I treat him good to we have a fantastic sex life he never has to go without, also I do nice things for him. I am going to see him next week and while he is at work I will clean his house, take his dog for a walk, cook him a nice supper, send him off to work in a happy satisfied way, then look after his needs again that night. It is give and take and nice to have a good man0

Wow, 3 responses. I'm going to call you Triple J...ha ha
Seriously though, its no wonder he does the things you say he does.
So, sex, sandwiches, and house cleaning?
Maybe you two could teach a marriage course.
Lucky lady, lucky guy.
You are clearly good people.
I'm giving both of you a round of applause.0 -

The best thing I heard on the topic was the speaker said "Men, you are NOT God's gift to women but you are God's gift to your wife." I cherish the cards that my wife wrote to me that were very heartfelt and I still like to read them from time to time.
I can honestly say that I honored all my marriage vows.

I miss you sweetie0 -
Posted another thread, and it was so great to see all the women with awesome SO's, I just had to post this. On the forum much too often all we hear is about the "bad" guys. People need to know and appreciate that there are many good men out there!

This brought tears to my eyes and it is very sweet. You deserve a round of applause, or apple sauce, whichever0
