switch old dutch for the PC ketchup chips and ahh yeaaahhh0 -
Yup. But as someone said it's very common over here. As is vinegar on fries - standard.
I'm curious now, what's a standard American flavour for crisps/chips?
It seems like a lot of the people here (USA) like bbq crisps or just plain crisps and they dip them in dips of various flavours. I think sour cream & onion is popular.0 -
Love Salt and Vinegar chips! For while they had dill pickle flavored Lay's chips and I really loved those too.
I also crave Walker's Prawn Crisps, but due to being in the US, I'm rarely able to indulge in them.
I have tried ketchup flavored chips and crab seasoning chips which were both good. I saw hamburger and hot dog flavored ones once, but wasn't brave enough to try those.0 -
I grew up eating English-style fish and chips (fries) in Eastern Massachusetts and then a local potato cop company stared making them. They were bought by Frito-lay and they started selling them nationwide. I still love them but I prefer the thicker, kettle-style on the rare occasions that I indulge!0

I can agree on this. Seems a lot of people here like plain, sour cream & onion, and bbq chips. You would more than likely see these go to flavors at parties.
Me, myself, love Salt & Vinegar. lol.... Garlic vinegar and salt on fish, salad.. lol... mouth watering again. lol0 -

OMG yes the PC ones are DELISH!0 -
My first preference is Cheese and Onion. I grew up with these.
Salt & Vinegar were a fancy luxury you got on special occasions.0 -
Agh, just ran downstairs to the little convenience store in our building and got some S&V...0

Salt and Vinegar chips are my biggest snacking weakness. Old Dutch and Miss Vickies are my favourites. Dill pickle is a close second, especially the PC dill pickle chips.
Plain chips I won't even touch. Hubby's sour cream and onion are usually safe from me, too. But any S&V in the house gets demolished in short order. Therefore, they're not currently in the house. hehe0 -
I love Salt and Vinegar chips....I am loving the PopChips Salt and Vinegar so good!0

I love them. I cannot buy a big bag else I will eat them ALL in one sitting. I very occasionally buy a small bag and of course, eat them all in one sitting. I've been known to lick my finger and eat the salt out of the bag
They burn my tongue and the top of my mouth - but I still love them.
Strangely enough, I don't like vinegar otherwise....and I hate how it makes chips (fries) soggy!0 -
I fell in love with cheese and onion crisps when I lived in England. They are hard to find here. Some of the specialty British shops sell them though and when I see them I buy a few bags. I am not as addicted to these as I am to salt and vinegar though.0

I've never had that brand but I love that flavor combo in other brands. Tangy and salty all in one.0

I LOVE THEM!!! I am half British, half American. My time is literally split in half for time spent in America and time spent in England and Scotland (More so England. But don't tell my Granda that..). Mum introduced me to them at a young age. This is one food I refuse to give up. I can even tell the difference in taste from Walkers and Lays with a blindfold on which many of my other friends can't. Walkers is clearly the better choice..0

Salt & vinegar is my fave! Lay's used to be my number one chip, but have since discovered Sprout's Market or Boulder Canyon brand MALT Vinegar & Salt Kettle chips. I buy them as often as I can, and hide them from my family because they will devour them in short order! When I have them, I measure them out on my food scale and then put them away, or I too will eat the whole bag.
Since eating the malt vinegar kettle chips, the Lay's salt & vinegar chips almost taste plain to me, not tangy enough anymore!

Oh my God, I LOVE them! There is just nothing better in the World to eat than a packet of Walkers S+V crisps. When I binge, I get through 6 packets a night.
Im sure I would not be here on MFP trying to lose weight if they were not invented! :grumble:0
