2 years ago I lost 59 pounds. I've inched up 9 pounds since then and have a little more that I have wanted to lose but got complacent and off track. This challenge is a great way to get back on track and jump start my weight loss!

Good week for me I am below my ticker weight. I finally lost my 3 pounds of vacation weight.

Hi - I am new. My dear friend has jumped into weight loss and asked me to join MFP to cheer her on. Well I too need to lose about 40-45 lbs so here I am

I'm closing in on 43 and stand at just 5'0".
Today is my 2nd day on MFP but about 3 weeks into my weight loss journey. I don't have any amazing insight into recipes, my go to for good eating is grilled chicken, shrimp, pork or even a lean cut of beef with a green vegetable on the side. My 6 year old is partial to asparagus, broccoli, green beans and brussel sprouts so generally I choose from one of those. All of them are quick and easy to make and always taste good.
The area where I fall off the calorie wagon is in late night snacking and alcohol consumption. So lately, following the diet plan my friend had to take before her surgery, in the evenings when the munchies hit I have been drinking 1/2 of a protein shake (like an Atkins Advantage or similar). It fills me up, gives that sweet taste and is only 160 calories for the whole thing. It's working for right now. We will see how it goes.

I totally understand lennyfitz77. Up to now I have used MyNetDiary and it's great. I joined here b/c a friend asked me. When I use a tracking system I am all over the weight loss and management. When I don't, I ALWAYS gain back. ALWAYS!! Sometimes it takes a year to do but it never fails.0
