FINALLY! A low calorie mug brownie (101 cal)

I know all the recipes are calling for plain/all purpose flour, but would using self-raising be a bad idea? I'm only asking this because I have about 2kg of self raising flour to use up!!0

There is no way that is 101 Calories unless you are talking Teaspoons (tsp) instead of Tablespoons (TBSP)
2 vegetable oil (tbs) = 250 calories
3 granulated sugar (tbs) = 135 calories
2 unsweetened cocoa powder (tbs) = 20 calories
2 all purpose flour (tbs) = 55 calories
Total= 460
*edited* I like chocolatecoveredkatie.com for mug cake ideas. All her "single lady cakes" can be microwaved. And I've gotten them down to 160 calories before.0 -
Sounds good!0

this recipe sounds delicious. I was wondering if the calorie count includes the ice cream.0
-
I just tried this recipe, except I used tsp. instead of Tbsp. They were delicious.0

That's right, my calculator even said 468. I usually make it with water only (so 4 tbsp water, rather than 2 water and 2 oil) and then that recipe comes to 227 calories according to my calculator. It's just as nice0 -
Bump!!! Mmmm can't wait to try this!0

Bumping for the low cal mug cake ideas, not the mis-leading op.0

I'm just proud of the fact that I knew, just by seeing the ingredients / amounts, that it was not 100 cal. Two months ago, I would have had no clue! :bigsmile:0

why are people bumping this? THIS IS NOT 101 CALORIES!0
-
I was just thinking to myself "I really need to find something sweet that isn't too too high in calories". i have such a BAD sweet tooth!0

Omgoodness, sounds great! I don't have a microwave though Do you think this would work in an oven???0
-
cals=460! stop bumping this if you think it's lowcal!0

I read this elsewhere in recipes, a pretty decent cupcake for WAAAY less calories.
1 box angle food cake mix
1 box any other flavor cake mix
Mix them together thoughoughly.
Put 3 TBSP dry mix in a cup.
Add 2 TBSP water.
Stir well and microwave for 1 minute.
That is low-cal. Promise. And quite tasty.
Save the mix in tupperware.0 -
yes, it is called 3-2-1 cake:

varies in cals, depending on what type of cake you use, but is quite low0 -

If you want to make it even more low calorie just replace the oil with milk or almond milk.0
