(Not sure if I should respond because I'm a guy but what the hell...)
1200 is too low. Based on your age and gender, I'd recommend at least 1600 calories (not including your fitness level). Your body might be conserving energy since calories are too low so metabolism is slowing down.
I don't know your weight so I would check out these websites-
http://www.webmd.com/diet/calories-chart
Also check online for TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) calculators. You plug in age, height, weight, activity level and it'll tell you how many you burn. There are a few methods so try all 3 and then I'd pick the low end of the number (2100-2300 calories, pick 2100 calories).0 -

I am 5'3" and currently 202...started MFP at about 219. I would like to get to 140. Feel free to add me!
We have almost the same stats!! My first goal is 170 but in the end I'd like to get to 140 also!
Me three! I just rejoined MFP today after a year or so hiatus. In that time I gained another 20 pounds. :-( But I am back and that is what counts! Anyway, I am 5'3" and at 220, My short term goal is to get that 20 pounds off and get under 200 again (even if that means 199). I know I will feel so much better even just 20 pounds lighter and be even more motivated. A few years ago I lost 70 pounds and got down to 145, so I know it is do-able. My long-term goal is also 140. Please feel free to add me as well!0 -
I am just a smidge taller at 5'3.5". My SW is about 180 and am starting with a do-able goal of getting to 155. I, too, lost 50 pounds after my divorce and got down to my high school weight of 125. I certainly don't plan on getting back down to my high school weight, but something I can live with when seeing myself in photos.0

Hello, all! I'm 5'2 and 132 lbs. Trying to get back down to 120 but I'm finding it very difficult working 9 hours a day at a desk job. Trying MFP in hopes that monitoring what I eat will help.0

Thank you for saying that. At the risk of sounding vain, I don't want to lose too much and then gain wrinkles... yep, that sounds goofy.0 -
Hello there...I am 5'3, CW 156lb and hoping to get to around 140lb0

I'm 5'2.5" and 150 lbs. Also looking at a 130 lb goal. I got down to 139 last summer and put it all back on I'll take all the support and motivation I can get! I know what my downfalls are, just can't seem to stay disciplined enough to get past them.0

5'3" and just turned 30. At my heaviest after my son was born weighed 208. Brought it down to 140 after my divorce and now, a few years later, found myself back up to 187. MFP is awesome. Anyone who says they "can't" needs to spend some time reading all these stories. Since starting this journey on April 10th I'm down 8lbs. Goal weight is 135-130. Losing my weight will only be the first half of this battle. I've always been a "thick" girl (was a ladies size 12 in 5th grade), so maintaining my goal will be a life-long, daily, chore.0
