Is a steam room safe for you? I just started going to a gym that has a steam room (or sauna...I'm not sure what the difference is, if there even is one). I hear they help you lose weight because they make you sweat but I'm not sure if they are safe. All opinions are appreciated

All they do is make you sweat. They are safe, but you have to be very careful not to be in too long. There's not real benefit to them.0

Steam room is steam. Sauna is dry heat. They make you sweat which helps your body push water and toxins out through the skin. So there is a health aspect in that... but so far as weightloss... it would only be water weight and your body will put that right back on.0
