I hate when people name inanimate objects.

You're in the wrong thread, then!

My 16 yr old daughter named the van she inherited: Marcus... *I have no idea why...she's kind of indie like that...but she says it looks like a Marcus! lol

I have a Chevy Spark... it's Sparky! (and often referred to as Zippy!) And for some reason my oldest daughter likes to call it Sasha! lol! Kids!

Me? No. The closest I've ever come is taking the "Exploder" nickname my military units gave to their Explorers (apparently, some of the earlier model years had a habit of catching fire) and applied it to mine. But I only rarely used it. I never could come up with anything that would seem to fit, and I even went through some more oddball names like they might use on WWII planes.

My parents named some of their cars. We had a Volvo 740 named "Yohann", an MG named "Beatrice", and a Mercury Sable called "Sammy". A second Volvo 740, an 850, a Saturn, and a Mercedes that came after those three all remained nameless. Only my dad's new Crossfire got any form of a nickname- a rarely used moniker of "Priestmobile" which came from the fact he bought it shortly after graduating from seminary.

My brother, however, names his cars. Right now, he has a Corvette he calls "Blitz". He also has a trailblazer which he calls "Battering". Seriously, that's it. It's supposed to be a reference to "Battering Ram" which makes no sense becuse it's not like he drives it into things and is also why it makes me die a little inside when he says things like "I'm driving Battering...." or "I took Battering to...". The logic center in my brain just can't process that name. He babies that truck almost as much as he does his 'vette.

Black 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara: ________ (struggling to pick one... was thinking 'Betty' because it is black and seemed the most fitting, but I have a friend and her black Jeep Patriot has that name... any ideas?)

    - the Juggernaut (Jagger for short)
    - Sarah
    - Mr. Zombie Destroyer :)
    - Roxanne (Roxy) No need to stop for right lights...come on, you know you sang the song :)

I had a red1990 Pontiac Sunbird Convertible. It was a total POS but he was mine and I adored him. I named him Nigel because one of the first songs I heard while driving him was Rocky Horror, I thought that Dr. Finkle-whatever was kind of dumb for a car so I decided on Nigel because of Tim Curry's voice work of Nigel Thornberry.
You know, a beat up red car with the name of a redheaded man who has theoretically been everywhere. I thought it was cute. Don't judge me.
