Hey Guys, I am really confused about how many calories im meant to be eating my TDEE 2256.
Ive been told that's how many calories I should be eating is this correct?
Im currently on 1500 and this seems like quite a big jump :S
Also, should I be eating back all the cals I burn?
Any help appreciated!!

Judging from your picture, that can't be right.

I was wondering that myself...after going on this website and figuring out my number it tells me my TDEE which is 1989. Now if you go lower and you want to focus on losing weight the you would reduce that by 15% or 20%. It looks as though the TDEE is what you would eat to stay exactly where you are based on your activity level, height, age, and body weight.
I would try punching in the numbers and what it says. With me doing a 20% decrease to help with weight loss it plugs me in at 1591 so I would be careful that you aren't under-eating too much. I know the messages are mixed on eating back your calories. I am not particularly sure on this one myself. If I am eating well and exercising well then if I am still hungry later on throughout the day, or more hungry than usual then I will eat a bit more and eat back my calories, but that is me.0 -
I would suggest some more reading.

If you are using TDEE you do not eat your calories back. If you filled it out correctly, the calories are factored in with your exercise. If you do MFP's standard, you have to add your exercise and eat the calories back.0

Ok so the second link even says that the TDEE is "Total Daily Energy Expenditure
This is the total amount of calories you burn in a 24hour period." Then you just reduce your calorie intake by about 20% or less for people that aren't obese.0 -

TDEE is your Total Daily Energy Expenditure. You should eat that if your goal is to maintain your weight. (Keep in mind, though, that if you used a website to calculate TDEE, it's only an estimate. Your real TDEE could be up to 10% above or below it.)
If your goal is to lose weight, though, you should eat less. 1500 calories would be about 750 below TDEE, for a weight loss goal of 1.5 lb./week.0 -
hey sorry what do you mean judging by my picture? haha0
-
oh okay so you think what im doing is okay?
Or do you mean I should be eating less?0 -
Okay thanks so much I think I understand now! I now think 1500 seems right because im not trying to maintain im trying to loose.0
