Strep is something you don't want to mess with, if not taken care of it can do harmful things to your heart.

webmd says it can take up to two weeksfor symptoms to disappear without antibiotics

Have you cut out bread? Every time I get an infection, I cut out bread and it clears right up.

Sweet, thanks! I'm no good at DIY.

I'll need a scalpel, some scissors, dental floss and some super glue.

Strep? I heard that's contagious. Have you had mouth to mouth contact with anyone "questionable" lately?

Say...in the last week or so? ;)

I checked WebMD. Given the symptoms that I've attributed to your sore throat, it says it's either thyroid cancer or chemical burns associated with poisoning.

It said treatment is to bend way over and kiss your *kitten* goodbye.

On a serious note, I used to get a horrible case of strep every year without fail. There would be lots of nasty white plaque on the back of my throat. The doctor didn't even need to swab for a culture to determine strep. Strep was only time I used antibiotics. WebMD may be right about it going away in a couple of weeks but please note you are extremely contagious and will continue to be throughout the course of this without antibiotics. Please consider biting the bullet and going to the doctor.
