      Ideally it would be find someone with a modicum of class, then fall in love and bang. That's just how I tend to be though.

      My oldest and dearest friend (of 16 years) is a straight male, we've never even kissed. There is no unrequited love -- neither of us is pinning for the other. The person I would call my best friend best is an ex -- we've obviously had sex. Some fantastic sex. Guess what? We're still just friends.

      Man and women can be friends sure, even best friends, but there are rare occasions where there is 0% attraction from one side or even both. I have a lot of guy friends and I was attracted to SOME of them (at some point) and the other way around. That is just human nature.

      Why are you surprised that he lacks respect for the boundaries of your friendship when he shows a complete disregard for respect towards everything else in his life, women especially. Why are you congratulating a man for "banging a girl"? He's trivializing sexual intimacy and objectifying women and you are cheering him on? You pretty much have given him the message that you have no boundaries in your friendship and that you think "banging" is perfectly okay with you. It's not too far fetched for him to assume you are into no strings attached "banging".

      I really hope that you consider that a best guy friend should have more respect for you than he is showing. Calling you up to tell you about the latest girl he "banged" is completely disrespectful in my opinion. Women do not have to be "one of the guys" to be friends with a guy.

      I would not WANT to be friends with a man that acts the way you described. I'd find a new guy friend if I were you. But that's just me. If you do end up having sex with him protect yourself. Sounds like he's been around the block more than a few times. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

One of the ones I haven't banged I'm going to Jamaica with in October....soooooo......yeah. The 2nd one that I haven't banged really wants to bang. I'm hesitant.

      So basically....yes you can bang and still be friends. Or not bang and still be friends.

      Don't know if this is at all relevant. I'm sick and my eyes are kinda blurry. And I'm feeling a little sharey :laugh:

      As you know his characteristics and behaviours with other women, he has probably exhausted or simply bored with outside options and his mentality would be 'well we do everything together anyway; she knows so much about me"

      I would say go for it :)

      One of my mates is a FB and we don't allow it to get emotional but we can transition from doing what we do to absolute friendship. Physically we are compatible, mentally and emotionally on opposite sides of the spectrum :)
