I was able to tick a box off on my bucket list of things I want to do before I die today. I am unfortunately not blessed with the genetics to win an Ironman in order to qualify for Kona nor do I $50,000 to buy an entry into the race. So, I am happy to settle with going the free route and just riding the course with a fan of one (my wife) cheer me on. Didn't plan on doing it when I woke up just decided to keep riding and riding and riding after my morning ride and finally finished just before dark. Pretty disappointed that my time was so slow. But I guess I finished, so that is good. After all, I didn't have a time to beat on my bucket list.... well at least not until today. Damn, I think I just set a new goal.0 -
