HONEYCRISP. If you havent had one please try one. Expencive and hard to find but worth every bit of the effort.
They have become so popular now that last year I found them at price chopper for 99 cents a pound too. Before that I could only find them at apple orchards or farm markets. I really would like to try one of these new sweet Tango's. I will be on the hunt for sure. They are derived from the honeycrisp so they must be good. I will do a tast test maybe even throw in a pink lady too as it looks like some like them too. Never has one so I cant say and dont like to give my advice on things i dont know about.

The apple from the tree of knowledge that Eve took

It was actually never stated Eve ate an apple. The closest description we have is in the book of Enoch:

"It was like a species of the Tamarind tree, bearing fruit which resembled grapes extremely fine; and its fragrance extended to a considerable distance. I exclaimed, How beautiful is this tree, and how delightful is its appearance!" (1 Enoch 31:4).

Honeycrisp for me! Crispy, juicy. I try to eat an apple a day, so disappointing when I can't find them. Gala is second choice.

    1 - Sweet Tango
    2 - Honeycrisp
    3 - Zestar

Believe it or not the Sweet Tango are better than Honeycrisp. I am not a huge apple fan, but these three varieties are the only kind I will eat, all are in season now and delicious, crisp and sweet and expensive. But if you watch you can get them on sale.

Pink Lady? I've not heard of these--I'll have to look for them.

    Love McIntosh apples!

I've tried Honeycrisp apples because so many people like them---didn't care for them myself. Strange flavor?

Fuji and golden delicious are my fave. Any of the yellow or orange apples taste good to me. Don't like red (too starchy-tasting and bland) or green (too sour).

With so many kinds of apples out there, I want your opinion on what is the best kind just to grab and eat? My wife's co-workers had a big week-long discussion that ended in a blind taste test. Everyone could pick their favorite and all of them disagreed on the best.
Let me know what you think and don't be shy to defend your choice.

I'm going with the Pink Lady or the Gala not sure yet.

I agree Pink Lady & Galas are good but I also enjoy
    Fuji's and Granny Smith's.
