Great topic, thank you for sharing. We all want a quick fix, that is why that industry is booming.0

Hopefully the writer reached some folks that were actual thinking of wasting money on these things. With most MFPers he would be preaching to the converted (one would hope).0

Awesome article, thanks!0

Good read...hamburger to watermelon hmmmm0

Good read. There's no magic pill to aid in weight loss and the only supplement I'd argue people need is a nice cheap multi-vitamin for general health purposes.
Weight can only be lost by creating a calorie deficit through eating fewer calories, or burning off more calories through exercise.0 -
Great article! Thanks for posting.

I agree. The healthiest and safest way to lose weight is through eating well and exercise0

Got to say no to quick fixes as well as the extra spoons of food.    :bigsmile:0

I agree completely too. But I also feel the same way about diets - the blood type diet, the Atkins, the eat-only-beets-every-other Thursday diet...0

Thanks for sharing this article, I especially like the phrase: "magic bullet = a mix of restrained eating and regular exercise."
Here's another good one - "Eat less, eat differently, and move more."0 -
Great share..I do find it amazing though that an article must be written and praised for being common sense.
I do believe in some vitamins but not ever for weight loss. I live in Ohio so D3 after winter does help, and I was really shocked when I saw all the posts about B12 and weight loss, I have had B12 shots for years...they help with energy, mood (seem to, but not enough on its own to get the shot) and the reason for me is it helps my migraine frequency. I got fat taking them so I always laugh when I see people thinking a B12 shot is magic for weight loss.0 -
Totally agree, thank you for the article!0
