shopped yesterday (will last longer than a week for the most part for 2 of us - all I need rest of month is probably bread, produce)
we sale shop - on hand I already have eggplant, romaine, lemons, garlic, baby carrots, many canned goods, meat in freezer that includes chicken leg quarters, salmon, partial boston butt and more.

I buy extra on sale for later - and we just eat through it. I also only get paid monthly and do not live where there are good grocery stores so I tend to make a monthly trip for a big haul.

In addition to these items - we have a new organic farm nearby that is just starting to sell produce today - hubster is getting yellow squash and zucchini from them (wish I knew they had zucchini - wouldn't have bought any yesterday). I often buy eggs from an free range egg lady but haven't made it her way lately.

eggs - 2 dozen (had some already - so there's a good egg stash)
yogurt - lots - 28 single serv tubs I think - low carb version for him, greek for me, a couple "treat" version for me
    cheese - shredded/reduced fat - 2 pkgs
blue cheese spread - 1 jar - random purchase
cottage cheese - 2 big tubs

    90/10 ground beef 2.25 lbs
    link sausage - 4 boxes
turkey lunch meat - 2 pkgs - tuscan herb flavor and smoked flavor

pork skins (1 case box - hubster's fave low carb snack)
    sliced almonds for chicken salad
    2 jars natural pb
peanuts - 2 jars (Hubster's favorite thing besides PB)

healthy life bread - 2 loaves
healthy life burger & dog buns - 1 pkg each
wraps - high fiber, 1 pkg

    asian chop salad kit
    limes
    seedless grapes (chicken salad plans)
    tomatoes
    jicama
    fresh cilantro
    red onion
discount bananas (cause they are still good - just bruised)
    mini peppers
    stoplight pepper pack
    box of baby lettuces
    zucchini
blueberries - 2 cartons (good price)

4 cans evaporated milk (seldom used - just something we keep on hand)
    2 cans black beans
    4 cans red beans
    4 cans tuna
    2 cans black olives

Mayo - 1 jar - real only thank you very much

instant coffee - 1 small jar for shakes
Mio energy (12 squirt bottles - on clearance) ($0.50 each BTW)
    red bull 4 pk
    tea bags

    cumin

    dog biscuits
    dog food (40 lb bag)

    Purex crystals
clothes pins (cause I have a clothes line)
shorts and tshirt outfit $5 total off clearance rack - woohooo!

    The staples are:

    - eggs
    - milk
    - bananas
    - strawberries (this time of year anyway)
    - frozen broccoli & green beans
    - plain Greek yogurt
    - chicken (breast or thighs)
    - cucumber
    - red, yellow or orange bell peppers
    - peanut butter (lasts a few weeks)
    - oats

And I'll be honest, sometimes there are cupcakes

Thanks, guys, I just added tons of stuff to my list! I don't buy everything on my list weekly, but they're things that I definitely make sure I have in stock all the time:

Dairy: milk (skim), Parkay butter spray, eggs, shredded cheese of some sort, sliced cheese of some sort, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt

Meat: tuna, bacon, canned herring filet snacks. That's about it, really. I rarely buy meat- my mom gives me a ton, since it's just me. There are 3 people in her house, and she says it's easier to divide most packages into 4s, but I think she's just being a mom :)

Produce: bagged salad greens, bananas, strawberries (in season), apples or pears (prefer pears, but apples keep longer), baby carrots, celery, green peppers, hummus

Frozen: flounder fillets, stir fry veggies, broccoli/cauliflower & cheese, a pizza once or twice a month

Canned/dry: popcorn kernels, granola bars, protein bars, canned beans- mostly black, kidney for variety, rice, barley, boullion and soup mixes, canned green beans- by the case if I can find them, peanut butter, PB2, strawberry jam, Crystal Light drink mixes

My shopping list looks horrible compared to many others:
    Fresh Spinach
    Milk
    Roux - for gumbo
    Bananas
    Chicken Breast
    Cheddar cheese

    But, pickings from the garden:
Cucumbers - a bucket every other day
    Bell and banana peppers
    Red potatoes

    Herbs to pick as needed:
    Green onion
    Parsley
    Oregano
    Mint
    Dill
    Thyme

I usually don't do the grocery shopping in our home.. But whenever I am shopping for food I always consider this:

    Coffee
    Chocolate Energy Drink
Bread (not the normal sliced square bread)
    Fish
    Chicken
    Instant Noodles
Fruits (like mango, apple, banana, avocado)
    Biscuits
    Canned Foods
    Eggs
    Pork
and little bit of Junk Foods (for my cravings)

    :) Yup Im guilty :D
