These NSV's are awesome! Love reading them.
Yesterday, I went for a bike ride on part of the trail I hadn't been on before. There was a long, steep hill to go down, which meant there was a long, steep hill to go back up. I stopped at the top, worried about getting back up it. Decided to just go for it. And, I made it up the hill without walking! I did pause twice on the way up, but did not get off the bike. Was very proud of myself. Not only that, but a deer ran right out in front of my while riding and saw other wildlife and a beautiful sunset. All of which I would have missed out on in my previous, sedentary lifestyle. That's not worth a bag of chips for sure!! Can't wait to explore other parts of the bike path!!
So, tell me more of yours!16 -
My mom asking me for weight loss tips. She is 5'7 and has always been under 130 and has jumped to 150.8

I have never owned a "slinky" black dress ever in my life. I just hated how they're so unforgiving towards every curve on my body..
I'm so very happy to say that I bought my first one last week and here's how it looks:
Bonus NSV: I'm still getting used to buying a smaller wardrobe so I instinctively reached out for a Large in H&M and found it way too big! This is me in a Medium ) :drinker:

It was either that or roll back down it - lol!4 -
I was invited to a pizza party after work. But i said no because
1) i didn't want to eat any junk food. That's a new thought because i never say no to pizza, atleast not to free one.
2) i just wanted to get back home to workout because i missed it in the morning.
So yaayyy!!!20 -
When 3 different people I have known for a good portion of my life don't recognize me until I start talking. Also, getting carded for beer and getting told I look nothing like my ID and I can't buy it lol. I guess it's time to update my drivers license!7

Mine is actually being able to see some muscle definition in my legs! I've been able to feel it there for months, but it's just now becoming visible, at least to me. I've always despised my chunky legs, so this gives me hope I can actually change them and someday feel confident showing them off.8

I woke up this morning and was able to get out of bed. lol sometimes krav maga does me in4

I had one this weekend! Until 2012, I have NEVER been a runner. I wasn't always overweight, but I still didn't have the stamina or motivation to run. Well on Saturday the family was taking a 6 mile hike in the mountains, and for the first time ever, I was the one who dropped them at trail head, drove back a mile to the parking area, then ran to catch up to them. I went longer and harder than everyone else, and that is something I've never been the one to do before! GOOD feeling! Makes the stagnant scale seem a little less important!10

I had to use the next notch in for my watch strap.5

I admire your strength! I'd definitely pick free pizza over a workout any day.
My NSV today is getting a new bikini bottom and actually being excited to show it off some time this summer at the beach. Considering how much I hate my hips/thighs/butt on most days, this is a big deal for me.5 -
I've had 2 in the past 24 hours.
Last night my diamond rings dropped off my finger while I was out. Luckily I felt them slip off and found them on the floor. No more engagement and wedding rings for me till I lose the rest of my weight and have them resized.
This morning while I was out with my husband an ex-neighbour didn't recognise me. She noticed my husband but said it then took her a couple of minutes to realise that it was me with him. Perhaps she thought he had a new woman. LOL.
Have you thought about getting ring guards for your in-between period? Just a thought, I'd hate to see anyone lose their wedding rings.4 -
I had two today as well...
First, I see new muscle definition in my forearms during my morning workout. Totally unnecessary, but I'll take it!
Second, this morning I put on a summer dress from last year and it was too big! I cinched it in with a cute little belt, but I am determined to make it look like a sack by the end of this summer!7 -
I'm on the tightest notch on the belt for the dress I'm wearing today! When I was at my heaviest, it was on the second loosest notch, while wearing Spanx!Second, this morning I put on a summer dress from last year and it was too big! Great feeling, isn't it?My NSV today is getting a new bikini bottom and actually being excited to show it off some time this summer at the beach. Considering how much I hate my hips/thighs/butt on most days, this is a big deal for me.
I've seen this image floating around that says "How to get a bikini body: Put a bikini on your body." I love it, but it's gotta be even better to feel comfortable in one!I had to use the next notch in for my watch strap.
Congrats!Well on Saturday the family was taking a 6 mile hike in the mountains, and for the first time ever, I was the one who dropped them at trail head, drove back a mile to the parking area, then ran to catch up to them. This is awesome! Keeping up while hiking with my friends is a major motivator for me, so I loved reading this!3 -
First, I went shopping on Friday afternoon to get some new summer capri pants for the office. I thought I was still currently between sizes, having dropped 1 1/2 sizes since January, but after trying on loads of pairs, realized that I have not only dropped the other half size, but I'm halfway to the next size down. Was that confusing? Basically I dropped almost another full pant size without realizing it had happened.
Second, for the last 6 months I have been slowly working my way through a pile of dress pants that I had no longer fit into but decided not to get rid of. I am only one more pant size away from blasting through that entire pile. I've even had to let go of some of them as they've gotten too big now.
These NSV feel great, and are just giving me more motivation to drop the weight11 -
How wonderful! Congratulations!!0

Missed my run this morning because my husband needed to go into work earlier than usual. Instead of moping about it I did a DVD workout before the kids got up.
Refrained from throwing the scale out the window when it showed me up by two pounds after a lovely weekend. I *know* i didn't gain two pounds, it's water retention from my cycle, but I still wanted to throw it out the window. But I didn't.
Mainly because our bathroom doesn't have a window.18 -
Finally lost 100 pounds and went down to class one obesity all in the same day.
Wait, those are scale victories... okay, uh... oh! I can finally wear the shorts I bought last year so that I could fit in them when the time came!13 -
I was walking around my neighborhood yesterday, and a random guy did the "whats up" head nod thing and winked at me as he drove by. Its nice to know guys now view me as attractive.13
-
On my run tonight, I ended it by running for about 5 minutes in just a sports bra & shorts : ) I felt VICTORIOUS!!! I never thought I'd feel comfortable without a shirt on : )12

I finally remember what it's like to be hungry! I used to be such a big snacker that I would literally go weeks without actually being hungry, and that was only when I was forced to be away from food. Today, I was almost passing out from not eating for six hours (not my choice), and it amazed me. Normally I would have been so full from snacking that I wouldn't have even noticed.9

Went shopping with the hubby last night, didn't bother to check his pick for new workout pants on size because he KNOWS I only wear x-large. Got home put on a set of super cute pants, he was grinnng like the cat that got the canary. Asked him why, he just said look at the tag.
Medium
It appears that I completely skipped the large size in my favorite workout pants.25 -
I knocked 5 minutes 58 seconds off my 5K time... 36 mins 40, down to 30 mins 42! :glasses:
(The first one was Jan 2nd, the second on May 31st)11 -
This morning I had to make a new hole on my belt to keep my jeans up6

I have been trying for months to get below the 20 minute mile mark on my daily walks...I did the other day and walked an 18 minute mile!6

I bought a maxi dress that is just plain jersey material! In the past, I found that the material is too clingy and unflattering. I felt as though I looked lumpy and gross. I am nearing the end of the 30 Day Shred, so on Monday I figured I'd try one on to see how it looked on my body now that I've become more toned. It looks super cute! And it was on sale, too (:4

I rode a bike for the first time since 2008 last night and my mom noticed that I've lost weight!9
