If you were forced to eat at Red Robin what would you get?

One if their amazing burger, not sure which one off the top of my head though. A beer or 3, and mutha****in onion rings!!!0

A burger. A big one. I'd enjoy it and not worry.
And fries, and beer.
This minus the beer.
I tried their Turkey burger once, it's disgusting compared to the Jenie O ones I make at home.0 -
Just go to their website and find something that you can fit into your calories. It does look like it might make it an otherwise skimpy food day, but do your best. We can't all be perfect all the time!

Jennie-O has BHA in it.. I am very unhappy as I just bought a bunch of their turkey sausage and didn't know that. I've been avoiding stuff like that and it just didn't even cross my mind to check. Oh well.. lesson learned.. I will have to eat it and never buy it again. (I do not throw out food! LOL)
Oh and +++ to the beer0 -
I always get the natural burger- lettuce, tomato- it comes with a slice of cantelope instead of fries.
yeah, I love the natural burger!
I love the fries, too, but I will put about 7 on my plate and just eat those. It's really enough.
OH - and the skinny margarita there is so good! Around 100 cals and very tasty.0 -
If I eat out, I get what I want most. I would understand someone who eats out regularly, wanting to be uber mindful, but I think that people should still be able to go out to eat, and order what they want sometimes, without being anal about every calorie and fat gram. It is a once a year event. One meal is not going to kill you. You can just adjust the calories for the rest of the week slightly. I have been down the route of choosing an item based purely on trying to keep calories low, and ended up not enjoying myself much and feeling somewhat miserable since I don't eat out often and eat pretty basic meals when at home on my own.
So what if someone consumes a 2000 calorie meal once in a while. God, life is short enough as it is, you could get knocked down by a bus tomorrow, with the last thought on your mind being 'I wish I had had that juicy burger instead of that salad that I tried to convince myself was just as good, but was actually boring as all heck'.0 -
I swoon for their Chicken Tortilla Soup. By itself, it's not that bad (~560 calories for a bowl, which could be a meal on its own), but I always get suckered into helping somebody finish their fries. I also have a terrible weakness for their mozzarella sticks, which I know is a terrible decision, but if it's a special occasion, spring for something overindulgent!0

Cut back on other things if you are worried about one day, but enjoy your daughter's birthday. One burger will not do any serious damage. Neither will the cake you enjoy after.
^^^ LOVE this!!! And please don't forget about the yummy yummy fries there...oh just so good.
Now one thing you can do is ask for the petite burger, it is basically the kid size burger.0 -
I am looking at the nutrition calculator on their site, and am I doing something wrong, or are sweet potato fries really 569 calories? That's higher than the steak fries.0

make it a monster0

So we ended up going tonight instead of tomorrow and I got the Ensenada chicken platter. Yum! Saved one of the pieces of chicken for lunch tomorrow.
And then hit up Tutti Frutti for some frozen yogurt.

Some of these post are ridiculous. People come on here asking advice from fellow supporters to be told to eat what you want? No! The question was for a low carb high protein diet. I am a member of metabolic research center, and so far have lost 20# 24". My suggestion is to always do your own research and did through the nutritional pages, many found online, beforehand. If don't have time, skip all high carbs and fried foods, msg, and creamy dressings/sauces. Opt for grilled and steamed selections with fresh fruit as sides. Ask for no salt on grilled fish, it will have tons of taste without it. Hope this helps all.0

Strong first post, although I doubt your advice will be helpful for someone who ate this meal over a year ago.0 -

I wouldn't eat the 900 calorie salad0

I go there all the time, by choice! I get something with a Boca patty, hold the mayo, and have them lettuce-wrap it instead of using a bun. As long as I don't go too crazy with the bottomless fries, I can fit the whole meal into my calories easily. The sodium is pretty ridiculous, though. . . .0

We recently went and planned our menu from their website. I got a burger with a gluten-free roll with a side fruit salad. Hubby got a BBQ chicken sandwich with broccoli on the side. Daughter got a Hawaiian chicken sandwich on a gluten-free roll with a side salad. We got diet soda to drink. It was pretty good!0

I second this. Never open the menu once you get there. Too many temptations.0

This post made me hungry. I think I'll get the royal burger lettuce wrapped with bottomless broccoli and butter for lunch.. Yumm! Fits my macros perfectly!0

there is nothing good a red robin.. i'd chalk this up to a day of indulgence and get back to it tomorrow.0

Anywhere you go out to eat, especially when you know ahead of time, go to their menu online and figure out the game plan ahead of time. Otherwise always get salad with dressing on side (dip fork, then get the salad bite much less used) and eat some meat, not breaded and skip all or 1/2 the bun. Another perfect idea we use all the time now, immediately as in with the meal, ask for the to-go container (seriously make it clear you want it NOW) and put 1/2 your meal in it to take home... this way if it's so good that you "just one more bite" your way into eating it all, or get to talking and not notice your plate is almost empty in other words, no accidentally eating too much this way.0 -
You can get any of the burgers in a lettuce wrap versus a bun as they cater to those with wheat and gluten allergies.0

when i went in January, i got the burnin' love burger with fries and my dad and i split an order of fried zucchini and mozzarella sticks with my dad, and still came out under 1900 calories for the day. Indulge a bit. It's a birthday.0

In for year-old threads.
And last time I went to Red Robin I had a burger and a beer. :drinker: They have good fish and chips, too. :bigsmile:0
