While you are researching articles, I'd read the Community Guidelines. Best of luck to you OP.0 -

Other benefits would be to the company selling them as they rip off customers who buy them without doing research first.0 -

Ok I guess if you were a boxer and you're trying to cheat your way into a lower weight class that can be a benefit of a sauna suit....
OP, try not to be so defensive about this topic. I think most of the people here would agree with me on that the point we are trying to get across to you is the benefits (if any) are not worth the time and money and it is no substitute for watching what you eat and getting an effective workout.
If you feel your current workout needs an added kick, then get to kicking. Increase the intensity, maybe consider trying for a 5 or 10K. Guarantee you'll get more of a benefit from sweating at high speeds on the treadmil or sweating when running/ walking outside in the sun.0 -

Oh, sell it on Craigslist then. Some amateur boxer/wrestler (or husky rube) will take it off your hands for $20. Then, take your friend who gave it to you out to lunch. Win-win.0 -

Other potential benefits:
1. Makes people that wear them get angry and yell at strangers on the internet when recieving answers to a question asked. Thus giving other people a bit of unexpected entertainment.
2. Can throw sweat soaked clothes at friends as a practical joke.
3. If a helmet is added, it can be used as a quick Halloween costume.
4. If placed on the coffee table, it can be an interesting conversation starter.
5. If it's sideways raining outside, it can act as an excellent, full body umbrella.
6. If you get sent back in time, it can be used to convince people that you are a space alien come to suck out their brains.
7. It could be made into a hat, a plane, a pterodactyl, a broach...0 -

No, not helpful, as others have covered before me. Also pretty dangerous, especially if you're wearing one to exercise, namely if you aren't used to exercising in the first place.
I feel like you'd honestly be better off just not drinking any water.... not that I'm suggesting that.... ::backs out slowly::0 -
