haha you can do it! I need to lose 70 pounds
add me if you want0 -
You can do it!!!
Anything is possible once you are determined. I also have 50 lbs I would love to loose and keep it off for good. In the past, I've been able to loose 30lbs and just as the compliments start to pour and my self-esteem goes up and tend to fall off the wagon!
I'm determined end that cycle once and for all!! I'm not getting any younger and I know the more I wait the harder it will be!
You can add me, we can give each other motivation.0 -
Thank you Autumn, I have added you - I think!!!0

I understand that weightloss alone is difficult. My best friend talked me into joining here, because for me newly living single made it very difficult to care or do anything about my weight. I love it on here, and feel so excited to be on here everyday! I like it better than my facebook... Good Luck on your weight loss and feel free to add me if you would like! I am always in need of support and like to share it as well.0

You can add me too!! I'm always happy to have new MFP friends )0

Hi Laura, I'll be your buddy! You can do it. You will be surprised at how easy it is after the first few days/week. Have a goal in mind, it makes the time go quicker. x0 -

Hi Laura,
My name is Lisa, I am also 42 and live in the good old UK. I also have promised that 2011 is the year I will lose two stone and keep it off this time.....I have done it before but always allowed it to creep back on!!! I joined on Monday and am finding this all very helpful and motivating....I have just done a power walk with my dog Caffrey (who is quite reluctant as she is approaching her 14th birthday!) and am now about to do the Davina - Power of 3 workout, it's one of her older ones but i think its brilliant....you can't walk after you do it for the first time...but I hate not aching after exercise as it feels as though you haven't done anything. Anyway wish me luck!0 -

You guys can all add me! :-) I lost 110 pounds and then started working to put on some muscle. I've put back on 20 lbs, and that is NOT all muscle....so now still trying to get the same10 lbs off that I have been struggling with for the last two years- not easy at all!0

Welcome Laura - I am sending a friend request :flowerforyou: - I also think 2011 is a great year to be fabulous - my goal is 20 lbs this year and I could use some more friends and support - this is an awesome site !0

As others have said, 2011 is the year to bring it. I believe that it's FULL of possibilities and what you want is right in front of you...you just have to reach out and grab it!!!
Welcome to MFP!0 -
Hi Laura, i'm in the UK and soon to be pushing 44...I started this on Monday at 220lb and and currently at 218.5lb aiming to get to 168lb...
I know I can do it as 16 years ago I lost 5 stone but gradually with stress, divorce, work, ex-wife and all that goes with it the comfort became not food alone but red wine coupled with rich foods...I am aiming to keep lifestyle but at a greatly reduced level...also, once achieving this weight I promise myself I shall not need to do this again.
For me it is the many suits and lovely clothes in my wardrobe that currently do not fit and I so long to wear them coupled with the fact I want to swim with my girls in the summer...that should be enough incentive for me.
I did, however, purchase a treadmill 2 days ago and am hugely pleased to discover that running 2miles at a 2% incline at 6mph burns 333calories.
So, I am new here and looking to gain support from many others whilst offering what support I feel I can. All the best to you and I am sure you will achieve your goal.
Cheers
Ghyllfoot0
