Just say no.
This is going to happen a lot. You have to learn to say No or you won't lose your weight, which I know you want to do!
You have to make changes and you know that saying No is one of them. Just do it. Focus on other stuff.
As time goes on, saying No to the food that says "Eat me!" will get easier.
Hang tough. Kick those cravings' butt.
You can do it!!
Chew gum.0 -
flavored tea ! I like Chocolate Almond Torte when I'm crazing something sweet. 0 calories and the fluids fill you up!0

If you can find Nonni's biscotti, they have a 'Decadence' chocolate flavor that always does the trick to satisfy me. They're individually wrapped, which helps, and each is 100 calories.0

Just eat some chocolate. If you go over a little today, no big deal.
I agree....also, someone mentioned hot chocolate...diet hot chocolate with a wee bit of coconut oil gives me that chocolate boost & the additional fat keeps me feeling full.0 -
Low calorie jelly works for me.0

Black seedless grapes, they're delicious and sweet and in season right now.0

This was always an issue for me while trying to eat on a calorie budget, but I discovered how delicious fiber one brownies are(they make lemon bars, coffee cake bars, etc), which are only 90 calories. If you buy a box of rice crispies, those are generally only 90 too. Sugar free jello tastes good, and is only like 10 calories. Oh and weight watchers makes some ice cream bars that are like 90-120 calories. The dark chocolate covered raspberry popsicle is amazing(only 90 calories), in my opinion. Finding low calorie foods to eat when you crave things helped me stay on track so much more. Instead of going to something unhealthy for a sweet fix, I could get it from something under 100 calories and not feel too bad about it. =P0

Eat chocolate, enjoy it, log it. Life's too short to deny yourself chocolate.0

DO NOT EAT ANYTHING SWEET! Eat Protein. As much as you need until you get through all the cravings. Which for me takes 2 weeks. Cravings are often triggered by low blood sugar due to eating sugar.
Overdo the Protein is my advice until your cravings settle down. Good luck!0 -
How about you just do NOTHING. Seriously it's just a craving; you don't actually have to act on it.0

Can you go for a walk? If yes, during walk drink water. Come back and ask yourself do you still have an urge.
Do not eat a chocolate or anything sweet jus' b'coz you are craving it. 7 out 10 times we are thirsty for water.
Good Luck.

MelsAuntie, with this logic it would not be easy for OP to get rid of unwanted pounds. OP had a high calorie food. Not eveything can be justified by "Life's too short"0 -
I was going to give suggestions like "Go brush your teeth, then you won't want to eat anything." Or if you have a stick of that dessert gum, it might take the sweet craving away. But, you know what? Have the chocolate.
I used to poke fun at my skinny husband who would eat half a chocolate bar and then wrap it up and put it away. Who DOES that?? I figured out who .. skinny people. So, if you want chocolate.. have some. But eat like a skinny person would.
I like this.^
I'm learning to eat chocolate like a skinny person too.
OP - I find dark chocolate has more chocolate bang for the calorie buck. Ghiradelli squares are my favorite. Individually wrapped.0 -
I keep fat free fudgecicles in the freezer!0

Literally about five minutes ago I was feeling like I needed something sweet and I had two little squares of dark chocolate. I honestly feel like I can't eat anything else right now! Hopefully this helps you0

When I crave chocolate I eat a fudgesicle. So good and creamy and only 40 calories!0

Craving something sweet is not all bad. Think 'moderation'! I bake twice a month, I cut/portion the dessert down into 3oz servings and freeze it. 2-3 times per week, I get to have dessert after dinner...and I don't feel guilty about it, nor do I panic. I usually wait to eat it until about 9pm, because late night is when my sweet tooth wakes up LOL! But if you're not a cook, and you don't feel that you can trust yourself purchasing a cake, or whatever....then your friends up there are right.... a cup of hot chocolate usually does the trick, or a piece of organic dark chocolate. Hope this helps.0
