Two and half years ago, if you would've told me that it would take me two and half years to lose what you have, I would've said, "But that'll take too loooooonnnnnnggggg!".
So here I am, still at the same-ish weight and there you are having done something about it and in a much happier place weight-wise than myself.
Thank you so much for highlighting for me (whether you intended to or not) that PATIENCE is a virtue and that time passes no matter what you do, so do SOMETHING.
You look great and Good on Ya! :flowerforyou:
You've done very well with the time that I myself thought would 'take too long'.
And here we are.0 -

Wow... that is awesome and truly inspirational! I have about 95 lbs to go and I know it's just one step at a time, but a lot of times I get discouraged. Seeing posts like these always motivate me to keep going! Well done!!0

Being healthier isn't a destination for me, it is a journey. All of the skills I aquired while losing, are what will help me maintain my weight. So, without learning those skills along the way, I wouldn't be able to keep it off.
Gradual changes are also key. I swapped out eating chips for peanuts as a salty snack, then I swapped out the peanuts for salted almonds. Almonds are a way better food than chips
Just think of some of the small changes you can make, and implement them!0 -
Thank you for sharing your story- you look incredible!0

Wow! Very, very well done lass :-)0

There is something so special about having a size that starts with a 1 instead of a 2! I remember how gleeful I felt when I started fitting into 18s. Way to go, you! Wonderful job and so inspiring!0

Congratulations on your hard work, success AND great attitude0

Wow! You look absolutely fab, if I can look half as good as you then it gives me attitude to continue. I have now signed on for 20 days and lost nine lbs which I am really proud of, thanks for the great encouragement.
I am off to take some photos that will remind me, but otherwise will probably never see the light of day again!
Keep up the great work.0 -
What a great post! Congrats to you on all your hard work! You look fabulous!!
I'm trying to have that mindset this time around, too. So far I'm down 35 pounds (I started MFP after I had already lost 20 pounds), which is more than I've ever lost before. And, I'm finding that by changing my mindset, it actually feels EASIER to lose weight! I'm not obsessing over the numbers or the slip-ups like I had in the past..and, in fact, that's making me slip up less!0 -
You look brilliant. Such an inspiring story and it proves with determination and willpower anything is possible. :happy:0

Awesome job. Great progress and great attitude!0
-
Thank you for all your kind words
I have recieved a lot of motivation from other members on MFP and I only thought it fair, to celebrate my success here too!
