    Six works out about right, although most of them are small. Eating more often lets me space my protein and ample fat out over the day and have plenty of energy and not be starving before the next meal. I eat a high fat diet and have no problem running a calorie deficit by doing that. If I eat many carbs at all, they don't satisfy me and I'm hungry within an hour and I tend to go way over on calories.

    I eat 2 -5 meals/snacks a day... I just kinda graze, other times I eat large meals... Depends on how I want to eat for the day... :)

    My schedule right now is pretty consistent so typically only 3 total. No snacks in between. If I am hungry, I'll have a snack but usually not... Come fall though when I start school again and will be busy 6 am to 10 pm three days a week, I might not follow the same routine for those days.

    Well I'm not a good example, sometimes i eat 3, then it's 2, and some days when I am busy it's only 1. It just depends on if I am hungry or not.

    I'm a three meal a day plus one late evening snack person. I pretty much get hungry 4 times a day. Even yesterday when I had trouble sleeping and didn't wake up until 11 am, I still ended up eating half a sandwich between lunch and dinner.

    Usually 4 or 5. I eat at 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm and sometimes 9pm. It's been crazy awesome for my metabolism.

    I do 'best' on smaller meals/snacks throughout day.

    Ideally: 3 meals - 3 snacks

    Keeps my blood sugar/energy much more in check (I'm not diabetic, etc.,)

    However, I need to not eat 'too' much at anyone meal or snack...I really like to 'enjoy' the snack eating meal/snack because I'm hungry.

    Everyone is SO different in what works for them.

    How many meals you eat is really irrelevant to anything nutrition or fitness based.

    it really depends on the day. the intuitive eating is strong in this one. i try to eat a steady breakfast and lunch, with any number of small snacks spaced at least 2 hours apart when i'm feeling hungry, but dinner usually ends up just being the post-workout 400 calorie protein bar.

    I just eat... like all day. I have a scheduled lunch at work so I usually eat more then and again when I get home in the afternoons. I guess those two would be meals and I basically snack ever hour or so on top of that.

    ETA: I usually don't start eating until I get to work in the morning so I really don't start my constant snacking until a good 3 hours into my day. Then I basically eat until I go to bed.
