Honestly, it borders on family heirloom. You really should let him have the lamp.0
-
HIS Uncle gave it, he keeps it. I'm sure you can find something else for the table YOU can keep
and seriously....baby skin?0 -
Post an "I Love Lamp" gif with you and Steve Carell together and you can keep it.
If not, let the BF have it.0 -
Do you even want kids?0

Baby skin?0

It's his. you keep the table. How would you feel if your grandmother gave you both her *insert something sentimental to you* that he uses more (grandpa's watch, dining table, antique clock) and he tried to say that since he uses it more he gets to keep it? My guess is that you would say that since it was your family that gave it it's yours. If it wasn't for him you wouldn't have had the lamp in the first place. his uncle may have given it to both of you but I highly doubt that if it hadn't been for your ex he would have given it to you. Stop being petty. It's highly unattractive.
Its not unattractive...it is a beautiful lamp.......0 -
The lamp is his. Find something else to sit on your table.0

Is there any level of trolling you people won't fall for?

You mean there's no such thing as a Cambodian baby skin lamp?0 -
I'm sorry, but seriously? If you have to post in a fitness internet forum for advice on how to split stuff between yourself and your BF you have bigger issues at hand.
Besides that fact- It was given to you both by a member of HIS family. If you hadn't been with him, you would have ZERO claim on it, and seeing as you two are splitting up, you now have ZERO claim to it and any of his other things.
Take your super nice table and oil and go find another creepy lamp to make the focal point of your living room.0 -

What kind of a A##hole would you have to be to take something that was given by his family member.
ask your self this question.
If you were not together in the first place would his Uncle of came and found you off the street and offered you the lamp?
NO
Wait just realized this is most probably a Troll post0 -
Ummm... baby skin?
    had to go back and re-read. somehow missed that the first time.0 -

Some of us don't care about stuff like lamps so how are we to know there isn't something like that. Anyway, good troll. Op. Way to go.0 -
My favorite part of any thread is when the OP is exposed as trolling yet people still respond earnestly.0

Bought oil + table = lamp ownership? Ok, let's run with this line of thought. I did all the repairs on my ex-wife’s car and paid for the parts/fluids. Can I hook that thing up and tow it home? Let's get even crazier... What if a man buys his Lady to big new ta-tas? When they break up, does he get to keep them or does he just get visitation on the weekends?
I'm joking (maybe), but either way you should let the lamp go. Seriously, you want to walk in the house and look at that thing every day?
P.S. If I actually was legally entitled to my ex's car... I'd roll that b*tch off a cliff and walk away laughing.
stop being so bitter.
Boone, honey, that skin is totally yours to do with as you please.0 -

Chris (BF) did not even LIKE the lamp. It was in a back room at his Uncle's house. We were visiting one day, and i mentioned how beautiful it was and how soft the shade was. The Uncle said that I was the first person who had ever commented on it...and that if we wanted it for our house we could have it. Now, the only reason Chris wants it back is because he knows I love it.0 -
