Moderte vs. Vigorous Stationary Bike

Hiya, I've been at this (weight loss) for about 10 days now, and I have a question about how to classify moderate vs. vigorous exercise on a stationary bike. I'm doing about 45 minutes of what I think is vigorous (at least it feels vigorous to me!). I'm also walking, and I can classify that by miles per hour, but feel I am just guessing when on stationary bike. Any input is appreciated! - Ken

If you think it was vigorous, log it as vigorous. Just be consistent, track your results, and modify your eating calories based on your results after several weeks .0

Some folks say that anything over a heart rate of 138 is considered vigorous. I am not so sure about that though.
I use speed for my calculations. I use <12 MPH for 30 minutes as light effort. 12 - 15 MPH for 30 minutes as moderate effort. And >15 for 30 minutes as vigorous effort. At MY moderate level, my heart rate is anywhere from 130 to 160 which I believe is a good fat burn rate.0
