Genny Cream ale..... like clockwork
Doubting most people know what that is.0 -
A friend of mine swore by bran muffins. He called them "Nature's Broom."
That just sounds really f*ing painful.
Broom + anything bathroom related = do not want nope0 -
I don't poop everyday. If I haven't pooped in a couple days, then I'll drink some prune juice. It takes an hour or two to start working. I only have about a cup of it and it has to be cold because I sip it and warm prune juice is gross. Prune juice is powerful stuff so take it easy. Any more than a cup and it's not pretty.0

coffee
oatmeal
blueberries
Zone bars
These gotta work!0 -
Does blending the fruit and veggies into liquid destroy the fibre they contain?
The fiber is in the fruit or veggie itself. Try eating them instead of juicing.0 -
im not "juicing" im "Smoothieing", i include the whole fruit and whole veggies, i just liquify it before i drink it.0

Nice topic to get the weekend kick started :laugh:0

Running definitely shakes up the body a bit and encourages you to go to the bathroom.
A couple of dried figs work too - and I mean a couple.0 -
coffee, if that doesn't work: more coffee
But don't forget that sometimes, too much can have the opposite effect.0 -

you can train your body to poop? my fun fact for the day
0 -
how can i train my body to poop every morning? im taking align probiotics, drinking a HUGE fruit and veggie packed smoothie every day with added fibre supplement, and about 1/2cup 90% lactose free probiotic yogurt, and im still not pooping daily. whyyy?
Fiber & magnesium oxide before bed.0 -
coffee, if that doesn't work: more coffee
But don't forget that sometimes, too much can have the opposite effect.
I didn't know that! Good thing I only have 2 cups a day max0 -
Coffee, yogurt, and a banana every morning never fails!
yes!0 -
Not everyone poops everyday. If you poop every 3 days its still considered fine as long as it's regular and you feel fine.
I also wanted to add that while fibre is good for moving things along, too much does the opposite! keep it to 25 - 35 grams a day or you'll feel worse.
Also, bananas are constipators. Try prunes instead.0 -
What a crappy topic, such a waste of a post, I'm pretty sure when moderators get off the pot they will dump the whole load of replies.
OP, eat more food and you will go.0 -
I've dealt with IBS most of my life. I find that Magnesium Citrate and a probiotic are my perfect combo. I use Nature Made Magnesium Citrate (500 mg) and a multi-strain probiotic every night. Since I started this, my digestive issues have really become much easier to predict and regulate.
Still, since you're on meds, I would suggest speaking with a doctor--the meds they have you on may not be the right ones for your body and other options would help. Plus, you'd want to be sure that anything you would try (supplement wise) would be okay with what you're currently taking.0 -
Something about the title drew me in. I like to poop.
I'm a daily pooper, yay. Used to be a maybe once a week pooper, ouch.
I found that getting up way too early and drinking a hot cup of coffee EVERY single day at the same exact time has made me a regular guy.
Things that throw me off balance, cheese, milk duds, not being able to relax while drinking my coffee (wife wont hush).
Good luck OP, it is uncomfortable to not be regular, I know.
ps. Early on, when I got desperate I started using miralax every day until things started moving.0 -
Just posting here so it shows up on my feed!0

I had an oil change last year and the guy working in the pit wrote POOP on the bottom of my car in oil... Jerk.
For me, morning cigarette and coffee does it.
Be careful with extra fiber, it tends to make me bloat and causes painful, excruciating digestive issues.0 -
Coffee and cigarettes always got the job done.
and Mexican food..0 -
Three letters for ya K - F - C. Or Kentucky Fried Chicken.. 1 to 2 hours and BOOM.0

I'm having this issue, also have ibs and a gluten intolerance. Eating loads of fibre, fruit, drinking water loads but I've just bloated enough to gain 5lbs. I might resort to laxatives later but it's going to be very painful, but being at day 4 of feeling like this is horrid. And I've ran 4 x 5Ks this week and it's not helped!! I could actually cry.
I've been eating around 1300 kcals but have eaten about 1600 after running once this week.
Frustrating. The balance of IBS or constipation is awful.0 -
Coffee, cigarette, and magnesium the night before.0
-
Could be a magnesium deficiency. A lot of people have that. Magnesium helps me.0
-
There is something in apples that will help with regularity. Also strong coffee and walking helps.0
