TOM. It makes it sound like it's an embarrassing bodily function that is taboo to talk about.

"mean" as in "people on the forums are mean"

"starvation mode" as in "you aren't losing weight because you're in starvation mode!"

'macros" because typing macronutrients is so hard.

"carbs" again, they're carbohydrates. do we use prot for protein?

    Could not be more 'this'

I agree wholeheartedly with the person who wrote the post I have quoted. ;)

Although. I admit I'm a hypocrite. I get a little ping of satisfaction when people quote me and say any of the above statements ;)

    In.

No I don't mean I'm "in." I mean seeing someone post that is annoying as ****.

Because here's what it means, it means there's a thread that people are interested in and possibly controversial, so somebody says "in." That's all. They add nothing to the conversation, they don't express an opinion one way or another. All they're really saying is, "My friends are posting in this thread and I don't want to feel left out. I have nothing interesting or witty to add, but as a lackey follower I'd be forever embarrassed if something happened that I didn't pretend to be a part of. Look at me guys, look at me, I'm here too and I'm saying things. I'm saying in."

    Useless.

I'll see your "in"......and raise you an "in before the lock" ( or IBTL)

This made me giggle for the sole reason that prot in dutch means fart.

"Yummo." Don't know why, but that word has bugged me ever since Rachel Ray started throwing it around so much. Kind of like emeril lagasse's overuse of "Bam" when he tossed seasoning on food.

Most of the words I hate aren't limited to this place. They're disturbing trends..

    like adorbs
    cray cray
    amazeballs
    awesomesauce
    anything abbreviated for texting.. u .. b4, h8..etc. ugh

I just want to stab people in the face when they talk like this.

It's actually to bookmark it in your "My Topics" so you can read it later and follow the tomfooleries as they happen.

    No that's bump.

Bumping is to bring up the post to the top of the forum list. Either work for both purposes. A gif or a random thought would work too.

Exactly. Same as "tagging for later".

    open your diary

How else will someone who wants to help a poster see their diary if they don't ask them to open it? Hand signals don't work on the internet.

"Starvation Mode" and "Turning fat into muscle"--Especially when given as suggestions why someone is not losing weight.

"Mean People"--especially when the alleged "target" of meanness is the mean and angry one

And my least favorite, most despised--"CLEAN eating"
