These are just fun to read, everyone is doing so well! My NSV is that I did not quit or get discouraged this week even though it seems like nothing is happening. Only 8 weeks in, but was hoping to not hit a slow down quite yet....

8 weeks in and 14lb lost? You're doing awesomely! (Although can't congratulate you on that, because it's not an NSV  )

My NSV this week is looking great in a circle dress at a summer party. The dress is three sizes smaller than the last one I wore a year ago, and is actually getting a little loose!

One of our work colleagues brought us in a tin of chocolates three weeks ago and I've not had a single one of them - nor have I had any of the Subway cookies that the boss keeps bringing it. All these office goodies are literally sitting on a desk next to mine not 4 feet away

I've lost 13 lbs in 48 weeks! That's the same thing, right?

My waist-hip ratio today is 0.79..... it's finally dropped below 0.8, so according to the powers that be, I should be less at risk of heart disease (and also sexier) ^_^

Far as I'm concerned, it's proof that I'm losing my tummy (and also sexier) ^_~

I have to pin my workout pants to keep them from falling down when I work out and play soccer and baseball with the kiddos.
I don't ever feel like I look like I have lost, but that's evidence right there.

Way to go EVERYBODY! I am happy today because I bounced back from a vacation gain!! I'm sure the gain/loss could have just been from all the saltwater I am sure I drank while at the beach but hey, I'm back and going strong!

I've never heard of this measurement before, so I looked into it. I plugged in my numbers for my starting waist/hips, and got .88. I compared it to the measurements now for my waist/hips, and got .83. And that was only in two months! Now I have another NSV goal to achieve...hitting below 0.8! Thank you!

This is from yesterday but I still feel the effects today: Earlier this year, I found that I could safely ride a horse and pray at the same time. Yesterday, although I had to slow my biking down, I rode slowly while doing bedtime prayers/mind and heart clean-out. It felt FANTASTIC, and I slept better last night than I have in months!

Seeing this list and realizing that I used to eat 1,200 for LUNCH (I now eat about 1,200 per DAY!).

My NSV this week is walking 3 days this week on my lunch hour at work - just over a mile each time! Woo hoo!

And... sadly enough, I haven't been eating hardly any fruits/veggies but I've already had two today!
  • Not much but..

I have managed to drink water consistently every single day this week.

Hoping to keep it up over the weekend!

I did three pull-ups in a row at the gym during my lunch hour!

... because a nice guy there helped a little by supporting my legs as I did them... BUT STILL!
  • I decided to watch big brother from my elliptical rather than the couch! :)

Whoa, AWESOME!! That's one of my goals. I read recently that less than 1% of women can do a full pull-up. Congratulations!

haven't been wearing jewelry in a while and i tried on a ring this morning that completely fell off my finger.. just for kicks, i measured my ring size earlier. i knew i'd changed quite a bit in clothing sizes, but four full sizes down since i ordered my high school ring about 6 years ago seems INSANE!
  • Today, I am comfortably wearing a pair of shorts that I found at the bottom of a stack in my closet. The last time I had them on, they rolled down my squishy middle when I sat and the legs rolled up because there was too much me to contain properly. When I saw them this morning, I had that instant flashback to how uncomfortable they were, but I made myself try them on anyway. I am so proud to say, that they are now really too long in the stride, too big in the waist, and the legs swim around my now slimmer thighs. Even though the fit is all wrong, I decided to wear these bad boys today. Every time I catch a glimpse of my reflection, I am reminded of how far I have come in this journey toward a better me. Next time I find them lurking in the closet, I hope they fall to the floor when I try them on.

Yes! It's one of my big goals too. Always thought it would make me feel really powerful! At the moment I can just about do one with most of my weight supported on the assisted pull-up machine at the gym

It's not much to you guys but it is to me... I went back to the gym yesterday after a 2 week hiatus. Before that I kinda was slumping with the food and the gym, feeling a little burned out. But during the last week family was sick and passed, I realized how crappy I really feel without my healthy lifestyle and so I've returned with a newer perspective, goal, and drive!! This is my NSV!!!!

I had to buy new sports bras because I needed a smaller band size--a 38, so my band size is back in the 30s!

I am a 3 month lurker and have never posted, but I am so excited - my son is able to hug me all the way around - and clasp his hands and my younger daughter can clasp her fingers. First time....ever in their lives!

I love reading all of the NSVs, but I think this one is my favourite. :)

I'm siting here in the office after having eaten two cookies and a brownie (they were all delicious) and I'm NOT beating myself up over it. Hey, I'm allowed something like this every now and again. I'll just eat a really healthy dinner and get back on the wagon again tomorrow. One afternoon of snacks is not enough to make me quit my new life style.

Whew. And that sugar is definitely getting to me... :(:(
