    I have two:

I had to get a next-size-down pair of jeans this week. I had forgotten how jeans were supposed to feel because I'd been wearing pants that were too big for a couple weeks, haha.

Also: I started C25K on Wednesday. Not only was I able to do all of the drills, but I also realized that I had been using an old sprain (I tore my ankle UP a while back) as an excuse rather than an actual physical limitation.

Mine is a mental NSV from yesterday. We went to McDonalds (because I am not cutting out foods I love) and I got a meal that wouldn't "push me over the edge", then my Mother-in -law got me an ice cream cone, then I finished my daughters hot fudge Sunday. How is this an NSV you ask? Because the last time I lost weight (32 lbs, then quit and gained back), I would have considered myself a failure and threw my hands in the air, refused to log it and then binged that night, telling myself that I was a failure.

Instead, I went home, logged it ALL and realized that I still had calories left for the day and ate a sensible dinner :) I didn't quit this time, I am going the distance! And I will do that while I enjoy pizza and wine.....because I LOVE IT!

I love this!! Good for you!

My NSV is similar. A few months ago, I actually broke down in tears when my family BEGGED me to take them to McD's for supper (yeah, a grown *kitten* woman cried over this). I did. not. want to eat anything there, and pouted there was nothing I for me to eat while I drank my Diet Coke.

Fast forward to now: Just last week, I discovered the newest and greatest Jalepeno McDouble (srs, find room for 430 calories people). Yep, now I eat one (or two, lol) every week now, without batting an eyelash. And it fits in my goal, and I'm still losing. No regrets. No remorse. Eat it, enjoy it (in moderation), and log it. Repeat.

I'm so there with you. I quit the last time, and the time before that, and the time before that, because I drastically cut all the "bad foods".....because that how I saw that then. And if i didnt exercise at least 6 times a week, then I also felt like I failed But I love the "bad foods" And I dont always make the time 4-6 days a week. I even gave up pizza :( But for me, that's just not something that I can do forever....and I want this to be forever. Not just for the NOW.

So this time I set my calories at sedatary and then I don't feel the pressure of having to exercise (but find that I do it more now). I eat every thing that I want to eat, just less of it. And I'm enjoying myself and this process.

One thing I have changed this time around is that I weigh myself only Friday mornings. Last several times, I weighed everyday which gave me yet another opportunity to beat myself up, even though I knew weight fluctuates. This time, I am trying to enjoy the positive.

A couple of victories from this week: I bought a food scale and I did all of my measurements for the first time. Getting serious about this health business is such a huge victory for me!

And my mom said that my face looks thinner, "less puffy." She is right.

Hi my name is Chantel and my NSV is, about a month ago I had to move all the buttons over on button down skirt of mine, becasue it was way too loose and now I will have to do it again, because it is just as loose as it was before. It shows me that I have been losing wieght. On second thought maybe I will just go shopping and treat myself to a new outfit.

I forgot to eat breakfast. It took me until about 9:30 to realize it...usually food is on my mind so it was just cool.

Mine isn't weight related, but is health related. In another hour, I will have made it a FULL 24 hours without a cigarette, and I'm actually doing well! This is the LONGEST I've gone without smoking in a little over five years. I understand in three days the nicotine gets out of your system, and things get a *little* easier. I almost have one day down! Two more to go, and on my way to a smoke free life!

Yesterday, I had to retire my dress pants for work...they were a size 18 and my secretary was telling me it looks like I was swimming in my pants! So, today I went to a store and thought I would try on a 14...really just for giggles. Well...they fit!!! Best feeling in the world! :0)

I have lost over 10kg in 60 days but nobody at work has mentioned it. However a pair of jeans that didn't fit before are falling down now.
  • I have been working very hard and have lost over 22 inches since December, however, people always come to me to ask how much my sister has lost. Don't get me wrong I am so proud of her and her 100+ pound loss, but it sure felt good on Sunday when at church a lady asked ME how much I had lost. I wanted to do a happy dance.

37 days ago when I joined MFP, I made myself a selfie-video to tell myself to stay on track if I fall off. Kind of like a "watch this in an emergency" type of thing. I only filmed my face talking.
Yesterday I watched it and I had an extra chin! I took a current picture and compared it side by side - I look completely different already.
The biggest difference though was how pessimistic and sad I was when I started. The past month has been literally life changing. I feel I can do it and I am excited about my progress. The first video theme was "Since you must have failed already, here, watch this." Now I made a new video in which the theme is "Look how far you've already come! You totally got this!!"
So in short: One less chin. A happier looking demeanor. And a whole new attitude. :)

Yesterday I played tennis with three men for two hours. They were piles of sweat and had to keep taking breaks to rest and drink water. I had some water after about an hour and at the end and waited patiently during the breaks because I am getting in shape!

Returned to work this week and one of the teachers in my building said to me as I was walking in front of her.."You've gotten skinny." Now that's a good feeling:)

Tonight I went shopping and was limited on time so I tried on a ton of different shirts/tops and most of them didn't fit or looked terrible.

But this is a "win" because of the reasons they looked terrible.

Some just looked frumpy and old lady-ish

Some were too baggy around my shoulders or midriff.

Some were too big, including several size "L" (I am currently in mostly L and a few XL and starting to fit into some M)

A tunic I really loved, didn't fit right, because it was just way too big all over.

Some of them just plain didn't work for various reasons.

NONE of them were too small...except for one that was too small JUST in the boobs, and would have looked great otherwise.

For me this is an NSV :-)

Today I completed Couch 2 5K Week 6 Day 2. I absolutely cannot believe I am still hanging in there! Prior to starting this program, it has been 31 years since "running" was even in my vocabulary. I am going to achieve my goal because I am just crazy enough to believe I can!

I have this purple short t shirt dress that i would never wear in public. Today I put it on and it looked good. I went out and about and felt good about myself for a change. I am trying on my 10 year old jeans and skirt tomorrow. I am more excited than I am nervous.

    Whoohoo

Earlier this week family had a get together at their pool. Snacks and treats all around. I had come from work and already had a healthy lunch so I wasn't hungry. I normally would have gone for a few handfuls of whatever was in front if me but I wasn't even tempted! Not worth the extra calories! Feeling good :)

Yesterday was my Friday because I live in the future but I did 2 hours on my recumbent bike to prepare for girl's night and still would have stayed within my calories even without the workout! Also, when I got home, my husband wrapped his hands around my waist and said I was getting smaller. :) Felt pretty good!

I have been filling in this week at the restaurant I used to cook at.. they serve all the good food that I don't eat anymore.. I cooked it all week and didn't cave!
Several people haven't seen me since I left that job and some of them didn't even recognize me!! Tonight, a lady that I don't know at all told me I was her inspiration!! That although I wasn't even on her Facebook that she had kept up with my weight loss! That made me feel really good!

Visited my mum (who has dementia) in the nursing home this morning and she asked me if I was sick because my face looked thin. That comment is about as close to a compliment as I'll ever get from her now. But I was actually shocked that she noticed any difference in me at all.

I bought some new jeans this week.... At an actual brick and mortar store. Normal jeans with a set waistband and everything. I don't remember the last time I could do that! And to make matters better... They are the same size as what I wore in high school. Granted I was big in high school too... But still! It means anything after this will make me smaller than what I was in high school!

A few days ago I cut my blood pressure medication dosage in half. Today for the 3rd day in a row my BP is steady at 115/75, which is far better than it had been at double the medication dosage just a few weeks ago. At this rate it will be zero BP meds in another few weeks!

I was able to do 2 pull ups in a row during my workout today!! I was so excited! My goal is 3 in a row and then I want to work up to 5 but since I started at not even being able to do one complete one, I was pretty excited.
  • when I did my stretches in the morning my belly/pouch didn't touch the floor!!!! woo-hooooooo!!!!! I am the shrinking woman!!!!
