Seems like everyone has a different definition of what super skinny even means. I'm slender, but don't consider myself super skinny. I'm healthy and happy. That's all I need to care about. Does it matter what others like and don't like.0

Some people will like you, some people won't. The desire to be thinner(or not) really has more to do with how we see ourselves than anything else.0

So how did women get this mindset of wanting to be super skinny??
I believe it came from movies and TV.
When was the last time anybody saw a super hot guy chase after an over weight girl?0 -
I've never had that mindset.0

From competition with other women. Media distortion. And you are never good enough talk. (whether it's self talk or other)
supernatural gif already?0 -
I just want to look good for me, look how I want & the right guy will like me or not, lol I don't really care.0

i'm all 'bout the Bass no treble
Yeah, it's pretty clear, I ain't no size two
But I can shake it, shake it
Like I'm supposed to do
'Cause I got that Boom Boom that all the boys chase
And all the right junk in all the right places
Here is what I say to guy who want the skinny girls
You know I won't be no stick figure silicone Barbie Doll
so if that's what you're into then go ahead and move along!0 -
Well since every decision I make in life is dictated by what "guys like" I'll be sure to keep that in mind.0

It's not about what GUYS like. It's what I like. I'm doing this for ME.0

these cues are picked from popular culture but these ideas change - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02/05/perfect-body-change-beauty-ideals_n_4733378.html
Notice how body types correlate with economic opulence. The leaner the times, the more curvy the ideal.0 -
How do you know this? Did you take a poll of all the guys in the world?0

I remember back when I used to say dumb things. 14 was an awkward age.0

mmmmmm.... k. :noway:0

this though I do agree with others that have said some women want to be "thinner'' to attract their partner but I have been told by my husband repeatedly that I'm beautiful, sexy at the weight at I'm at, thing is I'm doing this for me. not him or anyone else.0 -
Depends on her personality. Judging by the outside is narrow minded.0

Yeah, the op is only 19.0

Lots of reasons. One, maybe she's into a man (or a group of men, or the man she is with) who IS into really skinny women Two, maybe she's into women and what certain men find attractive doesn't matter to her. Three, maybe SHE likes being super skinny for HERSELF.
I like being skinny for ME and ME ONLY. If my partner didn't like it, that's too damned bad. Granted, I do need to put on about 10 pounds, but I would still be pretty damn skinny with those extra 10 pounds.0 -
Bodies are all shapes and sizes - to each his/her own preference however I believe it's in our DNA to find physical fitness attractive. That's why you notice the 40+ mom with all her ( curves ) living an active lifestyle and hardly see the sedentary twenty something. Plenty of physically fit women out there that nobody would ever call skinny. Good Luck!0
