I love green, herbal and chai. If you feel the green tea is too bitter, there are brands with small amounts of dried apple or rhubarb to soften the taste a bit. I also love the sushi tea, japanese genmaicha with toasted rice.
Make your own fresh tea. Why not spice things up yourself? A friend showed me this ingenious drink:
1 ts grated ginger
1/4 lemon, juiced and chopped meat
1 ts honey
A bit of cold water to keep the honey better, then hot water
Great when you feel you're getting a cold or when its the time of the month. Very soothing.
Sometimes I also put in fresh mint twigs into the above tea. Mint is supposedly cleansing.
You can use any fresh herb to make your own tea. Sage, nettle etc.
My fav tea gadget is the Bodum combo travel and strainer mug. It's great at home too, keeps the tea really hot for hours. There are two lids, one with and one without strainer. Attention: It's NOT waterproof. It will leak if you throw it in a bag.

As an English person this thread makes me sad
Tea is always black tea with milk and maybe sugar.0 -
As with most in the UK, I just drink black tea (mines strong, with milk, no sugar). I do like a (100%) peppermint tea when I have a cold, just to take the edge off.
which reminds me, its about time for a brew...0 -

I like sweets. Peppermint tea is sweet and I don't need to add anything.0

My go-tos are English Breakfast and Earl Grey. Both with a dash of semi-skimmed or skimmed milk, no sugar/sweetener.
I also love chai, milky or black.
I was recently in Germany and had a lovely Rooibos with creme caramel flavour which was delicious. Haven't been able to find anything like it back in UK though.
I'm not a fan of green tea, although I will have jasmine green tea occasionally - the smell always takes me back to when I was in Asia.0 -
Teavana Loose Leaf teas are my happy place. My favorites are:
Strawberry Blush Rosé Oolong
WonderBerry Chocolate Truffle Oolong
Peachberry Jasmine Sutra Green
Imperial Acai Blueberry White
Earl Grey Creme Black
David's Tea's Kokomo Green and Happy Kombucha (Oolong) are just incredible too! If I'm low on loose leaf teas and need to stock grocery store teas for a quick fix, I stick with Numi, Tazo and Yogi!0 -
Yorkshire or PG tips. Or whatever's in the house.
