Females - How many sport bras do you own?

Four including one cute one that i bought for my daughter but was too small for her. I probably should get more, but since i only have 2 sets of clothes that I wear to the gym (working out at home involves different clothes) I seem to wear the same ones over and over and just keep tossing them in the wash with my gym stuff.0

20! I usually wear about 2 per day, but I am a special case. I wear one in the morning for working out, then I change into another one after I shower. I'm in the military, and I find they're more comfortable for all day working, running around, climbing, etc. My favorite used to be C9 by Champion from Target. They come in fun colors, and are supportive enough without being restrictive by the end of the day. I'm about a 32C/34B depending on the brand. The only downfall for these is that if you sweat a lot, the color bleeds through your clothes. Even after I had them for months! To be fair, the only time this happened to me was when I was wearing full gear (bullet proof vest w/accessories), but still, embarrassing! Nothing like a pink chest in uniform. I've recently started switching to the under armor ones because I have broad shoulders, and as I lifted more, and my chest got bigger, the straps started to feel restrictive by the end of the day, especially noticeable after a 24 hour shift. I find the under armor give as much support, but are less restrictive, and still come in fun colors. They're about twice as expensive though.0

0! My boobs are so small I barely need a regular bra.....That's a lie I don't need a regular bra at all, but I still wear one cause I don't want to feel like I'm 6 years old again.0

I'm still too big on top for most sports bras (34G), so the ones I do have are basic black or white. They are not pretty so there's not much point in my getting them in cute colors. But, they are supportive so I'm grateful for that. As for quantity, I work-out 3x a week and have 4 sports bras in my current size.
Have you tried looking at a specialty bra store? I wear an *unusual* size (32E) so I definitely never find the right size in regular stores. Online I like herroom.com or barenecessities.com--they both carry a huge range of sizes. The good ones are not inexpensive ($60+), but so worth it.
I am a 34 G I have found one in the Berlei range even. It's not too hard if you just look. It's all about looking hard. I am also not working so I have to get the cheapest possible option.0 -
I own 3
1 Fila 1 champion 1 generic one from meijers but its good and they are all high performance…even for just running I have to have full support….
I saw a girl run- my age and she was not properly supported with sports bra and i wished i never looked at her-b/c its just awkward guys, ok? it even looked like her girls were in pain all flapping up and down 20 times per every 2 steps and ( she was running she had gear on) its like really? ok maybe you can't afford them but I'm sure saving up for at least one…every runner-beginner or advanced should properly support their girls…I won't run without a sports bra…I don't want saggy boobs and i get enough perverts breaking necks as it is…me running with a regular bra -oh boy i'd better pitch the pepper and get a taser HAHA. unLESSS you want the kind of attention go for it--then i just pity you…
I would love a victoria secret sports bra-just one at least-must be nice to afford all victoria secret sports wear.
I have a cute hot magenta fila one and it does not bleed through with its colors even brand new it hasn't onto my workout clothes and i SWEAT-idk why thats happening to the one girl but that is not normal…0 -
13 - 6 for running and 7 that are not supportive enough to run long distances in.0

5...and I love my VS sports bra! Best ever!
I completely agree!! I love the VS sports bras. I only have two but the are just over $50 each. I don't want too many because I know my cup size will shrink the more I lose0 -
I have 5 currently as I've been loosing weight rapidly and good sports bras and bike gear are things I spend money on. I've been losing more band size than cup size though.
2 Enell's that are 2 sizes too big (I use them for biking)
1 Glamorise Women's Double Layer Custom Control Sport Bra that about 1 size too big (biking/walking)
1 Glamorise Women's Double Layer Custom Control Sport Bra in the right size which holds me in like a torture device (running/jumping)
1 Enell in the correct size (lifting, walking)
I used too be a 54I before I had a reduction and lost weight so I understand the pain of finding good support. For the Enell bras, I've had luck finding factory rejects/secondhand from Ebay for reasonable prices.0 -
None. I just double on my trusty regular ones. Sport bras offer little support for the large busted. Some just squish in without being able to control the bounce, others attempt to look like regular bras but offer only a fraction of the regular support, and the ones that do work are so huge, bulky, ugly and uncomfortable.0
-
1 bra that fits/gets used when exercising
2 that have gotten loose/get used for everything else0 -
I have three "good" bras that offer support (Panache Sport in 28F, Shock Absorber Ultimate Gym Bra in 30FF, and Nike Pro Rival in 30E) and two of the crappy bras people usually think of when they think of sports bras (the kind that stretch over your head and come in sizes like small, medium, and large). Since most of my exercise is HIIT and other workouts that involve lots of jumping around, though, those ones don't get used much since they are really not large enough for my breasts and not small enough for my underbust.0
-
I think I have 3 sports bras, and about 6 sports tanks with built-in bras.0
-
6 maybe. A couple Lululemon ones that are super cute that I can wear with yoga attire. 1 Reebok one that is very supportive that I use for long runs and a couple cheaper ones that I only use if the others aren't clean.0
-
I have 12 they are all Berlie an Australian company that tests them at the institute of sport in Melbourne, I find they very comfy and love wearing them.0
-
I have about 4 that I actually use.
2 Victoria's Secret bras which were well worth the money. I alternate them for my harder workouts.
1 from Costco, not sure of the brand, but I only use it when my workouts don't require much jumping or bouncing around, since it's comfortable but not very supportive for that circumstance
1 from target which I use more for stuff like yoga, since it too is comfortable, but not very supportive.0 -
I own three....2 from Old Navy and 1 from Wal-Mart. The one from Wal-Mart is actually more comfortable than the ones from ON0
-
I've got about 8 or 9 of 'em but need to get more...most are too big now
-___-0 -
How many do I own, and how many I actually wear are two totally different things! LOL
I wear like 5 total of the 20+ that I own - yeah I need to get rid of some stuff. :blushing:0 -
Informative stuff.....thanks for all the great replies! I even found a couple of styles to check into for the next time I decide to get another one. As a side note, VS came out with another version of their Incredible now with front closure. I tried it on recently, thinking it would be perfect - BUT, for me, I couldn't functionally get it zipped because it is different from the other one I have that has an internal bra (w/front closure - the Knockout) first, then zips over the top of that. I love that one too, but really was hoping this new one would work. The sales person said that even very small chested women are having an issue with the closure - things want to spring out before getting it shut. Bummer....hope they fix that.
Tried to put pictures of them on here, but didn't work. :-(0 -
One bedraggled looking 4-year old thing (but used only for 5-6 months of those 4 years). It was bloody expensive (34G at the time) but it still fits so I'm keeping it until I shrink out of it if I am too lazy to wash and rewash it every day I can get one extra use out of it by giving it a quick tumble dry, but I throw most of our sweaty laundry in the wash right away so our bathroom doesn't smell like a gym locker lol. And now that I have switched to walking some days, I can wear any of my normal bras, so I use older/ill-fitting ones that I don't mind getting a bit sweaty.0
-
I'm now the proud owner of six brand new (and properly fitting) sports bras! I do my laundry weekly, so that should keep me until I hit my ultimate goal weight. Not going to lie, I've totally cheated and given one the odd tumble dry to get an extra sweat session in previously when I only had four bras that fit.0
-
i currently just have one
a shock absorber active d+ max classic support
living in the uk ive never found shops that make decent sports bras for larger ladies
now im a 38G i can finally fit one sports bra0 -
I own 4 and I hand wash them every 4 days and let them dry overnight in my closet, lol. College struggles I get mine from Walmart but I'm thinking of getting a few more from target.0
-
I love this thread!! I have 4 and ALWAYS have to rewash and hang almost daily! It's very annoying but I cant exactly afford to double the amount of sports bras I have! I wish I could though!!
I have also had to buy smaller bras as I lose weight, which is kind of bitter sweet.
For reference, I have 3 Panache underwire sports bras, which I buy online and usually end up around $80. And one underwire from Victoria Secret, which I surprisingly LOVE considering i hate their regular bras! Underwire is CRUCIAL for non uniboob!!
What brands does everyone else recommend??
I share your sentiment for VS lol I hate their regular bras but their sports bra is actually pretty good
My absolute favorite brand though has to be moving comfort, I have the Maia and Juno and I just love how they keep things in place
In total I think I have 10 or 12 but after much trial and error I don't think I will ever by other than moving comfort, seriously for large chested woman they are the best I've had0 -
I have 4 that fit properly and do the job.
My favourite three are by Panache (handily available in back sizes 28-40 and cup sizes B-H) so they go up to my size and I've got a fair bit of scope to lose weight and not have to seek out something new that I get on with.
The other is a shock absorber red and black bra - it's comfy, holds everything in place but I prefer an under-wire and a bit of padding (for modesty) if given the choice.0 -
all I buy are sports bras. Just out of habit. I own five. Need to buy new ones though but they are SOOOOOOOOOO expensive and I'm in process of moving. Would rather put the extra cash toward healthy fruits and vegies :-)0
-
6-old white jockeys I got in boot camp
4-nice single cup lace racer backs from Walmart
2-synthetic fabric colored ones from Fred Meyer (I got before the lace backs and hardly use)
12-total0 -
