Another month, another challenge!
Our challenge is to do 10,000 steps in a day. You can do this for any one day or try for the entire month. Jump right in at any time! You can set a lower or higher goal if you wish. Our main goal is to keep activate every day!
It's easy to join - Just post here to begin!
You will need a step counter to keep track of your steps and then post your results daily here.

I'm in again! With the weather getting cooler and the outdoor bicycling season winding down, I plan to incorporate more walking in to my routine, so, hopefully, my step count will work its way back up again.0

 The poodles and I have already added over 2700 steps to the pedometer this morning and we're headed out for another walk soon.
:drinker: :flowerforyou: my goal for October is to exceed 18,000 steps each day.

Just wondering, if i were to walk 10000 steps on a treadmill, how long will it take me? please don't laugh0

Well, it depends on your stride length. Mine is 24 inches. So for me 10,000 steps is almost 4 miles. 5280 feet is one mile.
So, on average 10,000 steps in 5 miles for most people. For me, I have a very short stride so it is less.0 -
I'm in. I'm also doing the running challenge, but my "rest" days seem to be getting a lot of rest in them.0

I would guess about 1 hour and 15 minutes, which sounds like a long time. Walking on a treadmill for 30 minutes or 45 minutes per day will certainly increase your step count and would add to what you do all day long.0 -
Yay for motivation. I want to beat my average for September so October's average will be (I hope) 18,000 or more. Needless to say, I'm in.0
