This sounds delicious! I'll have to make a note to pick up cake mixes tomorrow when I go grocery shopping0

Last night I tried this with yellow cake mix and it totally hit the spot! Thank you for this thread!0

This is a great mini treat. I use chocolate cake and sometime I spread chunky peanut butter on top.0

this is a great time of year for this recipe. Will be enjoying it over the holidays instead of those "other" desserts that people bring.0

This is worth a bump....who doesn't like cake, counted out, and yummy?

Lol!
I tried this (twice) not impressed either. Don't get me wrong, I like Angel Food cake, but it just over powers anything else. Instead I make a pan of brownies & freeze the individual squares.0 -
well, I like it..other's like...we all have our own taste buds...but we ALL know that nothing is off limits.1

Ok so I want to add this to my recipes. How many servings do you think would be in the bag after you mix the cake mixes together?0

So I just tried this (Angel Food + Spice Cake). I also saw the suggestion for the "frosting" using pudding mix and tried that too (sugar free vanilla pudding + 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk + container of lite cool whip). For a quick, low cal, sweet treat, it hit the spot! Just a lighter, spongier version of traditional spice cake. I'm curious to try a milder flavor like chocolate or vanilla. I think the spice has a strong enough flavor to not be overwhelmed by the angel food cake; I'll have to experiment a bit! Thanks for thisOk so I want to add this to my recipes. How many servings do you think would be in the bag after you mix the cake mixes together?
I used a 16 oz Angel Food and a 16.5 oz Spice
Actual weight of AF = 458
Actual weight of Spice = 488
3 tbsp mix was about 27 g
So 946 total mix/27 g per serving = about 35 servings @ 105 cals each
With the frosting, a good dollop (20 g) adds 31 cals
Yummy math1 -
A bump for the 2017 holiday season.1
