Try using cauliflower rice!
Cauliflower is not rice.... no no no0 -
Try using cauliflower rice!
This is a good idea too. I'll use cauliflower rice in recipes on days when I'm craving similar texture but not enough macros left in the day for real rice.0 -
Like the example with the "healthy" pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, which are by no means "healthy" to anyone but someone who is looking for an excuse to eat chocolate chip cookies and still feel good about herself.
Wrong. Chocolate chip cookies can be a part of anyone's diet in moderation.
But they are healthy... they are food. *shrug*0 -

No difference in calories. BUT brown rice has lower glycemic index (per Harvard School of Public Health) so is slower to raise blood glucose levels. This may not matter to everyone, especially if you only eat rice occasionally anyway, but for some people that's a very important difference.
That's me..
So why not call it "Low-GI" Fried Rice, instead of "healthy?" Inserting the subjective term "healthy" implies that this fried rice is somehow superior to its white rice counterpart.
Really... Why dont you ask the website www.slenderkitchen Where this recipe came from... If this recipe isn't for you, I totally understand , but wanted to share something that I had tried and liked... All done.........
I'm more concerned that you tried to pass this recipe off as your own.
If you copy something from a website please have the courtesy to say so and provide a link to the website, otherwise you're stealing content. :noway:
Agree!!
OP: That's a big NO NO!!!
If you will all look at this can you not see where I said where this recipe came from... I said earlier in this post if you would have read it instead of accusing me of stealing content.. I said www.slenderkitchen earlier in the post... If you look at my other posts I am always careful not to do this. I posted this recipe to possibly help someone and giving a alternative. I am beyond sorry I even tried.0 -

I love to cook and create my own recipes so yes I look over lots of recipes in the forums to get ideas. If something doesn't make sense I question it isn't that what a forum is about?
I don't want anything from you, you posted that this was healthy I would like to know what makes it the healthy version, which you can't answer. I also did go back to check and you did not give credit until you got defensive about the title of the recipe. So it was your recipe up until someone questioned it.0 -

Someone questions something, people scream "attack", "not being support of" or "being rude". Love the forums!!! :bigsmile:0

Thank you for sharing. It was very nice of you to take the time. I am sorry you received such negative comments. One reason I will NOT comment on anything. But had to let you know I support you for being nice and trying to give others an option.0

Thanks so much... I made a mistake and did not give credit on the original recipe. Look at my other posts. This is something that I always do.... I MADE A MISTAKE.... There, I'm human..0 -
I recommend replace the rice with cauliflower. Everything else could stay the same, just take away the rice. It taste amazing, and it's cut the calories in half.0

Great idea.. Thank you0 -
Thanks for sharing. I also love the idea of cabbage in it. Someone does sound a bit grumpy. It is healthier than what you'd buy at a restaurant especailly having less sodium. I'll be trying this out.0

LOL wow, all these people hopping on the shoot-the-messenger train. What's healthy or not healthy to you may not apply to everyone. If this recipe doesn't apply to you, simply move past it and move on. Your "2 cents" is unneeded as your health requirements don't apply to it. It works for the OP and they wanted to share it, simple as that, so don't turn it into something it's not.
Thanks for the recipe OP.
I don't like your attitude0 -

Cauliflower is delicious*!
*when it's just being the veggie it is: cauliflower. I prefer roasted with other veggies (like root veggies) until slightly caramelized. Not so much, however, when it's trying to be a pizza crust or rice or some other already-delicious food.0
