So, since my fiance just HAD to go off to war....:explode:

I've been left with the wedding bands to be engraved.....:indifferent:
My issue is I can't think of an appropriate, VERY short quote.... :ohwell:
His band is a lot thicker then mine, we want the same quote inscribed.....mine is only 2mm wide.

Some know the whole, drama story involved with my fiance/wedding. Short version....we've had to fight to even be able to GET married.

Any thoughts, quotes, etc that would be awesome for wedding rings???

My hubby and I have two wedding bands. Cop and firefighter. We don't want to ruin the nice bands, but we want to wear bands at work. I can see it now , "Okay guys, the ring is getting bent, time to get out of the fire..." Or dh saying "Mr bad guy, this is a nice wedding band. Let me take it off before we wrestle..." Just kidding. Both bands have a portion of our vows

    "For always, forever" nice bands.

"I promise I do" work bands.

    Ohhhh I like those.....
We don't have specific wedding vows yet....
His is a titanium ring, so it should hold up well in his work....mine is just a plain old white gold band.....no frills.

    I personally like these....

    "To keep your marriage brimming,
With love in the wedding cup,
    Whenever you're wrong, admit it;
    Whenever you're right, shut up."
    - Ogden Nash

"When you meet someone who can cook and do housework--don't hesitate a minute--marry him."
    - Unknown

    A bit long though....

HA! No that is Now & Later.....which....can be TOTALLY inappropriate if I am left to imagine....which I do.

"The real act of marriage takes place in the heart, not in the ballroom or church or synagogue. It's a choice you make / not just on your wedding day, but over and over again / and that choice is reflected in the way you treat your husband or wife."

    Barbara De Angelis

    Just a dang good quote!

    mmm.....we're on the same page!

I have a 2mm band. and a honkin' three stone engagement ring (QVC is a blessing...lol)

I was looking at getting a more physical job and the band I loved was inscribed on the inside with "My beloved is mine". very pretty.

the BEST way to remind them of the wedding date!! lol
  • How about 'love conquers all' as a reference to how your love has overcome all those little fights. Also doesn't hurt that he's a soldier!

See if you can find either chinese or japanese charaters that mean what you want, but that only need to be one or two symbols. That way, you save room and you have a special meaning.

    我愛你永遠

That means "I love you forever"

Oh, I thought of this. Most of my tattoos are in kanji.....
So, this is not far from my mind, I also have a guy who is so cool about translating.

I have been trying to think of things he always says.....
"It's worth fighting for." (reference to us getting married)
"I can't wait to be your husband"

    Stuff like that........too blah?!?!

I had "forever yours" engraved on a ring that my ex wore years ago. I am actually kind of bummed because it's nice but I couldn't use that for my current boyfriend one day....not that he knows, but it just feels icky to do so. But you don't know my ex, you could use it!

I also love this quote, "To the world you may be one person, to one person you may be the world". I am sure that is too long for the rings, but I figured I'd share.

My husband and I are planning on getting something engraved in ours, and a couple things come to mind, fairly simple:

    "I'm Yours"

    or

    "Heart, Body & Soul - I'm Yours"

    or something along those lines.

Finally... now we're in the gutter... ahhh that feels much better.... waves the sparkle kilt around my head a few times    :blushing:

Don't know why, but Ezzie and I never really even thought about an engraving... guess we figured that simply looking at the ring does the job for us both (and all the other wild n crazies out there).
  • My husband has a titanium band and I went to look at it to because I couldn't remember what I put :embarassed: . I had inscribed "I Love You Always" with the wedding date and then my name. He also has a work band because the titanium was dangerous to wear when he worked in the oilfeild and now it is to big and you know you can't get them sized :ohwell: . So it is on his key ring and he wears his cheap wal-mart band so I guess I should get it inscribed. Good luck! Just put what is on your heart and expresses your love and relationship the best!

Nope, not Titanium -- that's why we decided to opt for white gold, because we were told Titanium is too hard and cannot be resized.
