Didn't want to do it but I did it. DAY 5 LEVEL 1. Pain - yes. Hard - yes. Would I do it again - yes.

Finished L1 Day 3 today!!! I still have to stop it once to catch my breath and get a drink but I push through. I'm still going to try and do it straight through without a break!
You can do it! I feel totally fine right now. I might start Level 2 on Day 6... Maybe I'm just forgetting how hard it really is when I do it...

L1-D3 down! Yes it is a little easier to get through the exercises...but I'll tell ya...I always have to take a quick pause on the very last part with the bicycle sit ups. Those KILL me!

Everyone's doing so great! I'm dreading the shredding today, but I know I have to do it!! Or else I won't be able to show my face here anymore. I usually fit it in at 10:30 or 11am, but I missed that, so now I'm dragging my feet. As soon as 3:30 hits, I'm gonna be shredding up a storm!! :glasses:

Steph, that is exactly how I felt today. I just finished L2,D3. It is a lot more fun to look back on than it is to look forward to.

CricketKate... So much more fun to look back on it!! I just made myself do L1 D5!! Added 35 mins of cardio, and there is NO WAY I am going to the gym tonight to do any more. (I was planning to go to a cardio class tonight, but changed my mind, since I did the Shred so late today...)

I did all the moves exactly as shown in the DVD, but I've used 5 lb weights on the second strength section with the lunges, instead of 3, since I wasn't feeling those on the biceps and triceps. And I'm so happy - I DID ALL THE BICYCLE THINGS!!

Question: Most of the moves have gotten really easy for me. I don't know if I should try L2 yet... For those at level 2... what was your indication that you should move on? (I'm looking at you Kate, Flacachica, and Kellie if you're still here. ) Maybe I'll just watch it, and see how it looks.

Well done Steph. I have just done Day 6 of level 1. Broke my own record of 5 days. Good that you are using such weights. I am using 1/2kg weights (1lb). Level 1 is still hard enough for me. But I have been trying to add extra exercise to my day. Last night was aquarobics, tonight I am attempting a ballet class (for 2nd time), I have also used the exercise bike this week. I try to do Jillian in the morning and something in the evening. Also helps to keep my blood sugar level. I am diabetic. Have a wonderful day everyone.:flowerforyou:

I'm dying for my 3pack dvd's to get here. I ordered 30day shred, No more trouble zones, and the metabolism one. I would love to join the group. Do I have to do something specific to keep track of the thread?

Steph, I moved up after 10 days on level 1. Everyone seems to think that the moves were getting easier. That wasn't the case for me. I wasn't having the same soreness that I did in the first few days, but every workout was a challenge. I was and am only using 3 lb weights. A lot of the moves, I felt like I could have used a heavier weight but the next weight up that I have is 8 lbs. Some of the moves (the anterior shoulder raises) I couldn't complete even with 3 lbs. I think that you should listen to your body, if Level 1 isn't challenging you, maybe you should try level 2. Just don't make it sound too easy, since I still spend half of my workout cursing that woman:wink:

CricketKate... (I love that name too!) I spend most of my workout, especially in the second half, telling my self "YES!!!!" and "C'MON!!!!" (Something I picked up from Tae Bo.) Thanks a LOT for your post. I appreciate it! I still get a challenge out of it. I might do one more day with it, since I was so not up to doing it today. Don't wanna make it even harder to do right now...
  • I did L1D4 today and I am a little sore but it is getting much easier. The toughest part for me is the side lunge with weight lifts, my arms shake alot. I fit back into a pair of jeans today comfortably that I haven't been able to wear for months. Soo as a little reward for my victory I went and bought Just Dance 2, Jillian's Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones. I'm hoping to add them on to the Shred, today I did Just Dance, tomorrow I will try one of the others and so on.

Do you guys mind if I join in? I'm working through Level 2 right now. I was doing it for a little while a few weeks ago, but then was sick and took a break from working out. I started back up Saturday, so I guess I'm on L2D5 right now. I'm hoping to stick with it because I'm really good at starting something like this then giving up when I don't have instant results. Wouldn't that be nice if we could see the results of our workout instantly?

    Weight: 150 lbs.
    Arms: 14"
    Upper Waist: 36.75"
    Lower Waist: 42.5"
    Hips: 42.5"
    Thighs: 26.75"

Brit... I'm really good at that too!!

Today is D6 for me, which means, once I've done it, that I have stuck with this for longer than anything I've ever started (exercise-wise) before.

    Hey Everyone
Mind if I join, I started the 30 day shred about 3 weeks ago and have only done it 5 times. I need a butt kick and I should stay more accountable being part of a group. So I am on L1D6. Might take a few more days at level 1 since I have been inconsistant until now!! I also am trying to run 3-5 times a week.

    Hi all,

I am staring L2D4 and I am scared! LOL! Level 2 has been tough for me. I hate the plank squats or walking push ups - KILLER!!! I can't wait to be done. I do feel better when I'm done and I am seeing results though. I've lost about 5 lbs since I started!! Can't wait to see me at the end. I just took measurements the other day .... I'm not sure what my starting measurements were, but I do know I can fit into a smaller size pants already!!

Good job everyone!!! Shred it, you won't forget it!

Me too!!!!! It's like that extra "push" I need to just do it!
  • Today I completed D6 of L1. This is the most consistant I have been! I started doing it in the morning before work and I really like it, helps me avoid making excuses to not find time later in the day. I originally said I couldn't do it on tuesdays but that is the day I started in the morning. I burned more calories this morning than any other day so far!! I am very excited for the results.
  • I just completed Lv1 Day 5. Half way through Lv1!!!!! Man I really cant stand listing to that woman

Day 7 Level 1, still a killer for me, but I think I'm working it harder. Not even thinking of going to level 2 at any time sooner. Can't i stay on level 1 for the 30 days. Think I will still be trying to achieve all those bicycle crunches by then, and getting through the cardio.

Jellyfish, Great Job getting it done.

I'm still hopeful for the day. I have to go to the dentist. It seems completely unreasonable to have to go to the dentist and see Jillian in one day.

Great job everyone!! I did L1 D6 today!! My wrist was really killing on the push ups, so I knew I've definitely been spending too much time on the computer... :indifferent:

I was sad today when I had a group weigh-in and nothing has changed since last week, but I snuck in a few measurements, just to check it out, and noticed a couple 1/4 inch losses!! Is it possible to see progress that quickly?!

Play music over top. I don't mind her, but I must say that I only listened to her for the first time yesterday. Today it was back to my random playlist.

Day 8 Level 1. Still struggle with the first lot of cardio, jumping jacks and skipping rope and I only manage 10 bicylce crunches, although today I grunted and groaned to 15.
Steph its great if you are noticing body measurement changes.
    Have a great day everyone.

I didn't do the Shred today. I woke up late, and my neck was killing me! (So I actually wouldn't be able to throw my head back and sob like that! ) I spent about 5 hours searching for a birthday present for my friend's birthday, which was kind of fun, but really tiring. I would have done the shred when I got home if it weren't for my aching neck!! (I was doing some heavy lifting yesterday, so that much be the cause...) I hope to be back with D7 tomorrow!!

I did D6 today at L2. So far I've done it 6 days out of the last 8. I'm trying to keep up with it and keep making myself do it. I especially didn't want to do it tonight because I ate Papa John's pizza and wasn't feeling too great but that was also a really great reason to do it. Well I pushed through it, but felt pretty sick during it. Now I have that much more incentive not to eat pizza again. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Well done you, at doing Level 2. Funny how the food that use to give us comfort is no longer our friend.

I know, I used to LOVE Papa John's pizza and could eat it all day long every day (I worked there for a long time, so I had a lot of access to free pizzas) Now, I'm not sure when the next time I'll be eating it will be.
