    took me about 10-15 mins to walk to the school. so about a 20-30 min walk daily. and yes the weather is great right now.

    son is buying a trailer. a fixerupper for $1000. it will cost a few hundred to fix it. that's where his income tax is going.

    good morning...

    now DH is sick again. this has been the worst year for us getting sick. we haven't been sick for years. a few down days, but, not like this.

    have you ever had people in your life who just never say nice things? because they are so young and just don't get life. they think they know what life is about. i want to shut them out, but, they are my niece and nephews, so i can't. i just can't believe the language and stuff that they put out there on facebook. it offends me. it's a different world.

    Good morning all!!

    Well...Kadence is still really sick...poor babe! We spent lots of time cuddling last night. I did get in a 30 minute run, so that was good. Hoping the antibiotics have kicked in by tonight and she sleeps better. Hoping to get in my No More Trouble Zones tonight!

    SO...for this weeks challenge...goal is 15 minutes daily!

    Exercise:

    Food--

    D-Some kind of pasta, sausage thing...not quite sure yet

    Whoo hoo!!!! I actually lost!! Since my daughter's birthday party was Saturday, and I didn't eat as well as I should have last week, I was sure I was going to gain. In fact, I weighed in yesterday morning at 163.1. But I decided to wait a day since we had sushi for Valentine's Dinner. And I was right about that part, it was water retention. I'm sure part of the weight loss was also the fact that I started regularly exercising again. Since last Wednesday, I've only missed 1 day of exercising, and that was Monday. Even then, we walked around for a while after we ate dinner on Monday, so I'm sure that helped a little.

    So now I've got 4 weeks to lose 3 lbs. I can do it! I know I can! And if (okay WHEN) I do, it will be the first time I've ever made my goal on here.

    I also did extra walking yesterday. My parents were in town for dd's birthday, so they dropped me off at work on their way home. I then walked from work to the school to pick up the kids and then on to the house. The Cardiotrainer app on my phone said I burned 222 cals walking 2.5 miles. I probably burned more than that since I was carrying my laptop in the backpack case the whole time. I'm going to do the same thing today. DH dropped me off at work. I'm going to leave a little earlier than yesterday so I can drop my stuff off at the house first before getting the kids.

    Saw the doc yesterday for this chest/head cold since just when I think I’m on the mend it changes its mind...lol... so she prescribed antibiotics since my sinuses might be infected now. Right now I have to sleep sitting up and can’t talk for more than a few minutes at a time or it sets off a severe coughing fit but at least the silver lining is that the Nasonex seems to be working well on the constant inflammation I get in my sinuses and I am not stuffed up to the point where I can’t breathe through my nose. Yay. Take the victories where you can.

    And I finally got my thyroid medication straightened out last week so that is helping with the weight loss now. Double Yay.
    Rambling here now but for some reason I just don’t seem to be able to pronounce the word antibiotics right... it’s so weird. I know how it is pronounced and say right in my head but when I speak it, I say antee-bee-yotics for some reason unless I really concentrate on the word and speak it slowly which I then sound totally whacked to anyone listening to me...lol. Just thought I’d throw that in there for no real reason.

    @ Maria – I hope your Achilles heals quickly and congrats on reaching your first goal on Valentine’s day!!!! I love your ticker picture.

    @Julia – Awesome job on the walk!! That is wonderful.

    @Lorna – I hope the medication helps and I am sending positive thoughts your way. Great job on the exercise!

    @ Kristin – your pic of you and your little girl is so adorable. Hope she is feeling better. My son had RSV three times even though they usually only get it once. He was on a mask a few times a day for a week or so each time but it worked each time.

    @ Beky – I am a chocoholic so I totally understand the chocolate craving. I eat these things called Vitamuffin deep chocolate Vita tops. They’re like the top of a chocolate muffin but they are only 100 cals and have lots of fibre and other good stuff.

    @ Amy – congrats on the loss and sounds like you had a really nice Valentine’s dinner.

    @ Everyone - Hi and hope you have a healthy happy week!

    Good afternoon!

    Day 1- Biggest Loser Cardio Max L1
    Day 2- JM30DS L2

    I am ready for L2 to be over with! I do not like the ab twist plank move. I cannot hang for a full minute. DH knows I have been getting up for the past couple weeks and working out. One morning before he was leaving for work (he’s been working PT with a neighbor), when he kissed me goodbye he told him that I was doing a good job. I also overheard him tell our neighbor that he was proud of me since I had been getting up everyday. Oooh…that made me feel so good!

    Here’s a funny little tidbit for you…after hearing Datenshi’s! BTW Datenshi...you are cracking me up, it is also okay to ramble, I find myself doing it all the time. But here's my funny...In the morning after I workout, I am hot sweaty and still up-itty. Well when I take my shower I first start out with hot water, and then when I go to rinse I use cooler water. Oooh, it’s like a cold glass of water, it is so refreshing!! It definitely brings my body temperature down to normal. Does anyone else do that OR am I just weird?

    Loved the results of all the walking yesterday so much that I had my hubby drop me off at work before he left for work. I left in time to get back to the house and drop my backpack and purse off before heading to the school. I barely had time for that. I ended up walking 3.2 miles in 54 minutes and burning 289 calories!!!! :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile: It's supposed to be nice again tomorrow, so I'm going to do this again!

    Haven't weighed in yet. Hopefully tomorrow. Having some severe ovarian pain with massive swelling on hands, feet, and abdomen. Not a good moral booster when it comes to stepping on the scale. I'm already having enough trouble mentally dealing with it, so I figured I wouldn't kick myself while I'm down.

    On the upside, this challenge this week helped me. Went to get in the car to go the gym yesterday after arguing with myself for 30 minutes about whether I was going or not, only to not have my car start. The upside to that was when I had to pick up my kids, I had to walk the mile to school and then walk back carrying about 30 plus pounds in school book bags. So I was able to get my exercise in. Frustrating side to yesterday is that my husband tried the car last night and it started perfectly. Am I crazy? I'm beginning to feel like it...

    Katy - Many congratulations (sorry I'm coming in late).

    Lauren - You are so cute. For me, I sometimes take showers at the gym JUST for the unlimited hot water access, and THEN have to get into the sauna to keep myself warm. I NEED HEAT!!! You on the other hand are just hot stuff!

    Awesome losses this week ladies. Too cool. Definitely an inspiration. Keep shakin' those booties.

    oh, boy was last night a disaster zone. i just started eating and couldn't stop. DH is sick again. he went to bed at 7:30 and that started it. he's home from work today. i am having myself a pitty party. men are such babies when they are sick.

    Well...I must say this week's challenge helped me BIG TIME! I had NO motivation last night...with my sick baby, and some over-eating of sugary stuff...I wanted to just veg out on the couch...but I thought about our challenge and so did my workout and felt SO much better!!! So...thanks guys!!:flowerforyou: Still feeling kind of bloated this morning, which is probably from the over eating last night, but it's okay. Kadence is still sick. I am so paranoid...thinking the worst is coming, but she's a tough little girl and will hopefully get over this quickly. There are so many scary things that we all hear about RSV, but the doctor I saw really said there's no big need to worry...she seems to have a mild case. So...keeping fingers crossed and prayers coming!

    As far as me...tonight is my easy night, and due to the lack of sleep lately, I really need it. I will do my 15 minute Ab workout...I think. At least 15 minutes of something to meet my goal! So hoping Kadence sleeps better tonight...it's been really bad lately!

    Food plan today:
    B-Cinnamon Burst Cheerios, skim milk, coffee w/sugarfree creamer
    S-Banana, cereal bar
    L-FF Cottage cheese, baby carrots, Wheatable crackers, light yogurt
    S-2 clementines
    D-Chicken tacos...YUM! With corn.

    Hey ladies, just wanted to drop in and say hi. See how you all are. I have not weighed in for the last 2 weeks. I have been avoiding the scale. But I realized today that doesnt mean I need to avoid all of you or the challenge.

    Katy- congrats on the proposal. How exciting!

    Kristin- so sorry you little person is so sick. Hate it when the kids are sick!

    Lauren - I can never take a cold shower. Even when it is hot outside.

    As for me, tried a pilates class this last Monday. I liked it. Signed up for 4 more. I think I may continue to do it after that too. I was a little concerned when I walked in because, well, lets just say the instructor doesnt look like an exercise instructor. But my friend convinced me she was good so I gave it a chance. She is good! I also went and and bought JL No More Trouble Zones and Yoga Meltdown. I am excited to get started with it.

    we weigh in on tuesday mornings. kistinbee will start the new thread, just look for week 4. we do 6 week time frames. we post our starting weight of the 6 weeks and goal weight of what we would like to see at the end of 6 weeks, and the current weight of what we weighed on that tuesday. we are the sixers and change name to match what is happening during the six weeks.
    just copy the list add your name and stats. on check in days you copy and paste the list and move yourself to the upper section. this is the checked in. the lower is the have not check in people.

    this challenge we are doing little weekly ones. this one is do at least 15 mins of exercise.
