I watched my grandkids today and walked the baby back and forth for 20 mins to get him to sleep. This counts as exercise , right?0

Walking babies is walking!! Many walk their dogs. But you are also using weights. ;-)

I am a Sunday to Saturday kind of OCD girl. LOL That's why I said from Sunday to Monday to do the activity.
But my official WI is on Saturday's (actually I am a daily weighing kind of gal)
As long as we are doing something to become more healthy, we have to do what works for us. Everyone is different.
I do know this challenge has helped this fairly inactive person work a bit harder this week and so fae I have 85/100 minutes toward my goal.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EVERYONE!0 -

Thank you for posting! I am excited to do this challenge! I am going to do the 100 minutes of exercise! Woohoo, if we could all do that every week, think of how many lbs we could lose combined!!0

We all make mistakes and have bad days!! Just because you have one bad day doesn't even mean you will gain weight! The other day I ate a big ol' bowl of ice cream, and I don't even feel bad about it! It was worth every bite! But... that was the only day I went over my calorie goal since I started. Don't beat yourself up!0 -

Thank you! I'm feeling MUCH better this morning and I even stepped on the scale to see the change and was pleasantly surprised. Made one goal, need 5 more minutes of exercise to get the second...and there's snow on the sidewalk calling my name to get shoveling!0 -

Hello, Im Desarae. I know Im a little late, but I accept the 100 minute exercise challenge. I just started dieting & cutting back 2 weeks ago & I haven't exercised much since I started. I will exercise 15-20 minutes every day starting Sunday. That should be a little over 100 minutes at the end of the week!0

Just an idea for a little added exercise for you: If your mom is in a wheelchair, strap on a pair of 2 lb. ankle weights & take her for a walk around the facility. Every step you take burns calories. (I work in a Nursing Home, walk about 4 miles each day just walking up & down the halls)That could be good for both of you. Also, if you are having trouble with arthrits & excessive movement is out of the question, they make exercise DVDs for people in chairs. Will give you exercise benefits without all the jumping around. It would be a GREAT start.0

Just to check in: since Monday I've lost 3 lbs (I wanted at least 1), and I've done 174 minutes of exercise (wanted 150).
So thanks to MissDee for starting this (and the one next week) and congrats to eveyone who's accomplished their weekly goal

I'm in for 100 mins too!!! Even just got a new (to me) used tredmill... i can stop stomping a path around my house to walk (not in such a great area or on a great scheule for getting out to enjoy the weather very often)0
