There's always the option to make almond milk, but I don't think I could go through the trouble. Any natural foods store should have it. Major food chains usually have it too. Sorry you are having trouble finding it.0 -
This is such a decadent treat for me! I added nutmeg, cinnamon and Trader Joes Frozen Mango chunks! Delish!
That's the cool thing about this recipe is that you can change it up any way you like. I've thought about adding natural peanut butter-not sure that would work, but it would add more calories than I'd like. Thanks for the tip.0 -

Made this tonight for a late-night snack - it was delicious! Thanks for the idea. I remember making ice cream like this (but with regular milk) back when I was a kid in scouts.0

just made this! AMAZING!! I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk (I just used 1/2cup) so it was only 20 cals! SO GOOD! Thanks for the great idea!0
-
Sounds great! So, I think I could probably burn the 35 cals while shaking the bag, sounds perfect to me! hehehehe.0

I just made this in my ice cream maker and it was pretty good. I don't know if I would call it ice "cream" as it isn't very creamy- more like a sorbet. But it was definitely worth making.
I used the original sweetened almond breeze + vanilla extract + cinnamon = about 60 cals/cup.
Thanks for the idea!0 -

I found that the more you shake it the creamery it gets. Not sure that the ice cream maker does the same as doing it by hand, but I'm glad that it still turned out to your liking.0 -
My daughter and I made this last night with the chocolate unsweetened almond breeze (45 cal/8oz), 1tbsp of dark cocoa powder (10cal) (can you tell we like chocolate?)
we added about 1/4 cup of frozen raspberries (abt 16 cals) (I chopped them slightly so they were pieces) rather than a sweetener and the 1 tsp of vanilla (abt 2 cals).
It came out like chocolate raspberry goodness-- AWESOME.
Total: 73 cals and the serving size filled bowl (and tummy) nicely.0
