Wow these are great - have never seen them. I'd found some of Leslies walks on the below link too - and they let you choose 1 mile 2 miles or 3 miles - without interruption. I made good use of them during the winter when snowed in.

I am sucking on this challenge... I'm going to try to fix the problem today though... gonna do two miles at lunch... I need to get ahead of the game. Signing up for a 5k on Saturday though, that should help too!0

Thanks for the reminder NeuroticVirgo!! I completely forgot about the Challenge. I did a small walk on Tuesday and have been going nonstop since working on finals for my masters. Hopefully I make it through the rest of day with enough energy to do at least a short walk tonight when I get home otherwise I might have to just do it tomorrow. (I'm averaging 2 hours or less of sleep the last two nights.) But tonight is the last final for the week!0

Wow! Everyone is doing so great with their walking so far this month!!! I did 2.1 miles Tuesday (Wii Walk It Out) and 2 miles Wednesday (Walk Away the Pounds DVD). I have a question for those who do their walking outside - not using games/DVDs or treadmill that tracks your distance. How do you track how far you walk? I once had a pedometer but it was woefully inaccurate. As soon as the weather improves here in KY, I want to start doing my walking outside but want to keep up with my distances. Perhaps a more expensive pedometer? I guess I could always try driving my route and tracking it that way, but that does away with the freedom of taking a different path.0

I walk outside and thought it would be problematic to try to keep track of distance. I sometimes take a different route. That's why I use time instead of distance as my challenge.0 -
Hey everyone, really pleased to see you are all doing really well.
I work 12 - 13 hour shifts so finding it really hard to do my walks as planned. Today was my day off and really enjoyed a walk in the country side. I am trying other things like not using the car and walking the 15 mins each way to the bus stop and I have banned my self from using the lifts at work, i'm on the 4th floor so hopefully this will increase my excercise for the day!
Planning to do a 6 mile walk in Sherwood Forest on Saturday, really looking forward to it.

As promised, I did 1 mile at lunch - added it to my ticker :-)0

Day 3 went better than yesterday! I got at least 10000 steps in today. Nice day to be outside to be walking also. Tomorrow is supposed to rain so we shall see what I can get in before that happens.0

Mel, I would love to go walking with you in Sherwood Forest. It sounds lovely.
CricketKate, I wish that I had a giraffe with pink and blue spots. You have so much fun with your exercise.
I just got on my dreadmill and listened to music - no lovely forest or fun giraffes. :ohwell:0 -
Desperate to get out for a walk today, especially as it's lovely and sunny out there, but stuck indoors waiting for a delivery that could come any second or not for another 6 hours. Grrrrrrr!!!!0

I live opposite sherwood forest its lovely, sadly we are loosing much of it to new housing etc. I think the woods have magic powers, Its the lovely smell of fresh pine, the sounds of birds and other animals and the complete beauty of the forest that over makes me feel like a new person when I get home. And of course I always pretend I'm Robin Hood!
Wish you could all come walking with me tomorrow0 -
I did 2.5 miles on the treadmill this morning... added it to my ticker :-)0

I'm really in now. This month, I'm challenging myself to walk 80 miles. (Last month I'd challenged myself to walk 60 miles, and I walked 82.13 miles!).
These are my stats so far:
3/1: 2.55 miles
3/2: 1.87 miles
3/3: 1.09 miles
NeuroticVirgo, thanks again for the nudge.0 -

Oooohhh! I'm in! My goal is to walk (or run) at least 30 minutes a day for the month of March. If I can figure out how to get a GPS tracker to work on my android phone without interfering with my C25K app, I might change that to 2 or 3 miles a day. I'm doing C25K 3 times a week and I usually walk the other days, but sometimes I slack off on the weekends. No more; I will walk every day--if not for myself, then at least for my dog! Thanks for the challenge!
Good luck everyone!

Checking in for day 4; did my 30 minute walk0

Hey hope its not to late to join in..
can't remember what i walked on tuesday, but i know i done 40 mins a day on the 2nd, 3rd and today, so i've added them on my ticker. i'm aiming for 30 mins a day. I normally do 40 mins at least 3 times a week but if its raining ( which it often is in scotland) i won't get as much done.0
