This thread is one in which a new fitness and dietary challenge is posted each week. We also post our weigh-in numbers for the week on Monday (when the challenges actually start). Lets keep this rolling!

Here are the challenges/format to post for this week: (ANY one can join in at ANY time!)

FITNESS CHALLENGE:
Exercise 5 days this week for a minimum of 60 minutes per day (does not have to be consecutive).

DIETARY CHALLENGE:
Eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables every day. __________________________________________________________________________________________

    I'm new to the Message Boards, but this looks like a really inspiring thread! I'm hooked. Count me in for this week/my first week!

    (Do we post to this thread daily with our updates or at the end of the week? And also is this five servings of fruits or veggies or 5 servings of fruit and 5 servings of veggies?)

    It's Monday night and officially my bedtime but i did want to check in..my weight today is 73kg (161 pounds). I did 30 mins on eliptical and 30 mins on treadmill. Definitely had @ least 5 fruit and veg if not more... a good day yay :)

    *Dread* This is really something I need to do more of (eat fruits and veggies and workout more/longer). I wish I was more enthusiastic about this... I really need more veggies in my day!! :blushing:

    TacoGibbons-You can post to the thread daily or weekly, its up to u. Most of us post daily. The goal is to get 5 servings of fruits and/or veggies. My personal goal for the 5 servings is 3 veggies and 2 fruits. Good Luck!

    Shawnalee-Glad you like the challenges. It's getting harder to think of different ones.

    Steph-I have a hard time getting my veggies in too.

    I bet it is getting harder to think of different ones. Maybe we can all chie in and send some ideas and you can organize them as needed for the next couple weeks. That way we can work on things we need individually, as a team. :-D i have no problem getting in my fruits and veggies :-D I love them! I usually get in 4 hrs of training a week.... I don't like being there longer than 45-60 min lol But I think I can make it happen. We don't start moving till the last week of the month so I a in the clear for now! that's the week I will struggle haha....

    Love these challenges. Last week was awesome, and something that I really needed to work on: drinking enough water. Last Saturday 2/26, I weighed 193. By Monday, my weight had ballooned to 197.5. I knew it was because I was not drinking enough water and going way over on the sodium. This week I finally made it to 191.5. I lost the water weight I had gained plus lost another 1.5 lbs. Looking forward to this challenge!! Good luck everyone!
