Checking in with yesterday's total 5.30 miles walking and bike.
I am really thinking about doing the "Couch to 5K" anyone here have success with that program?
@ fitJ1210: Did the c25k last year and found it very helpful. Running is not my thing, but I can now run/walk 10K in 72 minutes, so I think it's really worth trying it. I'd like to do weeks 5-9 again, only a little faster this time.

The weather was really nice today, no snow, no wind, no tsunamis, sunny and 60F. My wife was going to her class reunion, I didn't make any plans to go out for the evening, so I decided to ride the bike to the basketball court. The way out was about 4.5 fun miles mostly downhill, and we played ball for 1.5 hours. As I was already getting tired, I chose to take a shorter route back, but it turned out that I had to ride a couple miles up a steep hill which really kicked my butt. Darn hill doesn't seem so steep when I drive by car. :grumble:
Bottom line, I made it home and managed to move 10.5 miles (8.2 bike + 2.3 basketball) which brings me halfway to my goal for March. :bigsmile:0 -

@Dinos--before I understood how this worked, I was going to track my running miles separately--that was the 25 goal. On the 5th page or thereabouts I upped the goal to 60 miles if it was to include walking. Nice ride today!0 -
Well I managed to get in 2.5 miles tonight after a terrible day. Workout got my mind away and released a little stress.
This gives me 16.8/50
Dino my ticker I cant up date from my phone have to do it from my stupid land unit. Sometimes its a a day later before i get it in to ticker.0 -

Speed walked/slow jogged 10 miles again tonite while listening to the b-ball tournament! Proud to say our local boys made history tonite with a "perfect record" and winning the state championship!! Their games made my TM workout seem fun!! I go back to my short walks after tonite!0

"REST" day. Walked at a slow pace for 2.5 miles outside with "5" pooches!! We were all wet and muddy when we got back!0

Was totally OVERWHELMED the past three days as I had to move! ARGH. Did not run or walk - nada! Monday is a new day and I gotta get busy to make my goal before I head to Utah on the 23rd!!!!!!! 5 miles per day!0

Just checking in....have had some "issues" the last few days that prevented any major cardio workouts. But l am still here and i'll still be trying the rest of March.

My goal for March is 100 miles. I work out on the treadmill and bike at the gym. I typically do 2 miles on the treadmill and then as much as I can on the bike. Recovering from a knee injury 3 weeks ago so the going is slow.0

Dinos - put me down for 5 miles today! Did my C25K first thing then the 2 miles beach walk after my P90X workouts! YIKES! The good news is that I got the ski pants "on" and "Zipped" this weekend - the bad news is that I only have 10 days to work my *kitten* off so I can actually "BEND" in them!!! HA-HA! Need to keep this 5 miles per day until I leave next Wednesday to make my goal!!!!!0
