Because of my injury, I couldn't complete my miles for February. I am going to lower my miles to 30 for March. That's about 1 mile per day. I will speak to the specialist Tuesday and then I will be able to determine if I can do more (or less)!

Bump, thanks for starting this Denise.
Leela make sure your knee heals properly before you start pushing it.
Don't start posting here before Tuesday people, we're not done with the February challenge yet.

    Wow look at those goals!!

Maybe I'll have to put more thought into my goal for March?

What does everyone count walking, running, biking, elliptical, swimming, skiing and ?

    Have a good nite!

I am new to the whole challenge theme on MFP...may a newbie join?

Can someone fill me in on how to do the specialized ticker for this? When do I update the thread throughout the challenge? And any other pertinent info would be helpful.

I am really looking for that extra push to keep me motivated and I think this is a great one, thanks!

I do my miles on the stairmaster, the treadmill, the elliptical or walking outside.

My goal for this month is 150.

    You're totally welcome!

The tickers we use are from thetickerfactory.com. Most of us update as we go. We update it often so it's easier for dinos to keep track the way he does.

Just keep track of the miles you do each day, whether it's walking outside or on the treadmil, on the stairmaster, the elliptical or bike, etc. Anything that can be measured in miles. Pick a goal that you think you can do. Pick a goal and start moving your *kitten* on Tuesday! :flowerforyou:

Hmm. My first goal will be 140 miles!
I should HOPEFULLY make it. Didn't want to do too high and then not make it haha. But I think it's a good enough challenge. Thats 46 hours of walking! ..Looks like I will have to run a bit. Good way to start on the C25K I suppose.

    edit:
the real challenge will probably be getting me to keep track/update the ticker lol.

i like the tickers cause they are cute but i find it hard to keep them updated so i do it in my signature...it's right here on this site where i post my updates anyway....just a thought to maybe try the siggie approach first....

I thought the tickers were a pain until I realized that it adds the miles for you when you hit the + sign...easy peasy.

When you go to tickerfactory.com, and you create the ticker, to add your miles, you go back to the site, and click on "edit/update data", and you click on "+ Add" and you put in that day's miles...it adds it for you and updates the ticker automatically.

Thank you Bluiz for starting a new March thread :flowerforyou:

Wow some great goal numbers everyone:drinker:

I have decided to try for 31 miles for my March goal. I have been joining these move you *kitten* challenges since they started and haven't reach any monthly goal yet. Sooooo 31 days in March = 31 miles to walk. If I don't reach my goal this month - UGGGG I might want to rethink my weightloss journey.

Thanks Dino, I tried to pedal the stationary bike yesterday. I could only get it to about 33 RPMs. It took me 8 minutes to do a half mile. Walking around the track felt okay. But after every 5 minute, I took a 1 to 2 minute break. I'm definitely listening to my body. I'll see the specialist in the morning. I hope I can report good news in the afternoon!
