I was wondering if there is a way to calculate calories burned based on what you are doing, and your weight etc...

I would suggest to get a decend HRM (i mean not too expensive one)...

The most accurate way is to buy a heart rate monitor with chest strap. The database here will calculate for you, but it might not be accurate. Example: one of my workouts last week, I burned 752 cals according to my heartrate monitor. If I had entered what MFP gave me, it would have only calculated as 400-ish cals.

I have found the exact opposite problem, with MFP OVER calculating the calories I burned. A decent HRM is definitively the way to go!!

Ya, my problem is I want to be more exact then what it shows in the database here... and being larger I burn different then others... So does the HRM tell u what u burned as well?
