:noway: Okay, it sounds yucky but don't knock it till you've tried it.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup old fashion oat meal
1 cup skim milk
2 tablespoons raw honey
1/4 cup strawberry yogurt
Add all ingredients in a blender or Magic Bullet.
Blend 1 to 1/2 minutes
Enjoy ---- NOTE: No processed sugar in this shake but it tastes GREAT and the perfect before bed time snack for those of you, like me with that sweet tooth. It'll satisfy you all night long.

Bump! I'll try this, maybe with banana yogurt or vanilla (not a huge fan of strawberry)!0
-
This is probably a stupid question, but do you use cooked or uncooked oatmeal?0
-
If you like that, you might want to look at the recipe for Alton Brown's refresco de avena: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/refresco-de-avena-recipe/index.html
when i make it, i use a *lot* less sugar, but I bet it'd taste good if you substitute in a little honey for the piloncillo! (hmm... i'll have to try that, the next time I make it!)0 -
I put oatmeal in my smoothies all the time. Good stuff!0
-
Wait - is there a typo? That sounds like a LOT of oatmeal.
Here is another recipe similar if anyone is interested. This is two servings, so I'm guessing about 150 calories in this one.
Ingredients
1 cup soy milk
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 banana, broken into chunks
14 frozen strawberries
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons white sugar
Directions
In a blender, combine soy milk, oats, banana and strawberries. Add vanilla and sugar if desired. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.0 -

I usually just use 1/4 cup of oatmeal in mine. with 1/2 frozen banana, and a scoop of whey, 1/2 cup skim milk, sometimes peanut butter, sometimes spinach, and peppermint extract. I use it for pre/post workouts.0

I will give it a try!!!!!!!!!0

sounds good. Thanks:)0

Made my own version this morning.
Used 1/2 scoop pure protein power
1 cup of silk soy
1/2 cup of oatmeal
2 tbps of raw honey
2 cups of water
1/4 cup of mixed berries
yields a giant 32 oz cup + extra = 478 calories
IT'S DELISH!
