Quinoa (instead of brown or white rice). Spinach (much higher in good vitamins, helps to get the dark rings out from under your eyes too), frozen and fresh fruits for smoothies, bran (to add to the smoothies to give it more substance), greek yogurt, baby carrots, hummus (baby carrots and hummus make a great noon-time snack, little higher in the fat, but its the "good" fat), ... yeah I think thats it... good luck!0

i love pepperidge farm 15 grain bread, its so soft and heavenly lol. i also always have fresh baby spinach, fresh mushrooms, and cabbage (spinach and mushrooms omelets are one of my fav bkfast foods, and i am weird and love steamed cabbage which practically has no calories). i also always have bell peppers, you can use them in most any cultures dish, chicken, and ground turkey0

Some of current favorite foods:
Better Oats Oatmeal: great variety and they taste great! The Oat Fit ones are ~100 calories a pouch
Orville Redenbacher's Smart Pop - 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Kettle Corn: Sweet and salty, you get a lot in the bag and it fills you up
Kale- Love kale! I tear it into small pieces, toss in some olive oil, salt it and pop in a 425 oven for ~8-10 minutes. Comes out nice and crispy.
Yoplait/Chobani Greek Yogurt: I usually get Chobani because it's cheaper, but the Yoplait Greek yogurt was on sale this week and they have great flavors. I had the key lime, peach and strawberry.0 -

I love making my own nut and seed mixes with some dried fruit (prunes, figs, currants, raisins) Toasting the nuts/seeds brings out the flavor. Sometimes I put some Anise in a jar with it so it gets anise flavored
Ducktrap smoked trout
Sauerkraut
portabello mushrooms
Dehydrated veggies
Low fat goat milk0 -
a good fruit salad is to mix 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1 large can mandarin oranges (in natural juices),1 (8) ounce tub fat free kool whip, a few nuts if you like them (and I don't mean kin folks), and 1 small box sugar free orange koolaid. Let sit overnight. It's luscious and low on calories. Fills that sweet tooth with fruit and dairy added in.0

Blueberries, Kiwi fruit, raspberries, blackberries, gala apples - all of these things get put into my morning oatmeal in various combinations with a scoop of ...
Liberte Greek Yoghurt (0%fat, vanilla),
Liberte tzatziki - great for dipping raw veggies in, and also for dipping in melba toasts if you eat them
freerange eggs and grain fed, free range chicken, salmon, shrimp, halibut, tilapia (or whatever white fish is a good price!)
Renees Asian Sesame salad dressing (good for salads and for fish); low fat lemon poppyseed dressing (same as other one, versatile)
romaine lettuce, dole's already shredded cole slaw (put it in all salads for the 'crunch' factor - who needs croutons? not me! also use it to make vegetable soup with a can of organic tomatoes, shredded carrots, and whatever veggies need using up before next shop), red and yellow peppers, cucumber, spring onions, fingerling potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli
organic large flake oats, quinoa, whole grain pasta (though don't eat that very much)
organic salsas (good on fish or on omelets)
multi-grain ryveta crispbreads
swiss cheese, rye bread. almonds and clif bars
...this is pretty much my regular grocery list although i switch up the veg and fruits and fish based on prices. i've stopped shopping in the 'middle aisles' of the grocery store - most of the best stuff is in the outer aisles :-)
cheers0 -
Favorites: avocado, cucumber, tomato, melon, berries, hummus, sweet potato, Luna bars, trail mix, black beans, Greek yogurt, cheese sticks, chicken breasts, lean ground beef, brown rice, oatmeal - off the top of my head0
-
Some frozen veggies, so you can add veggies to any meal in a pinch.
Powdered non-fat milk. This is good if you use milk occasionally, but not often enough use up a whole carton before it goes bad. It keeps for a long long time, and you just mix with water as needed.0 -
Bump ... I also need fresh ideas :-)0
