I had an amazing salad I threw together

2cups Spinach
1 Tomato sliced
2 Mushrooms sliced
Frozen Veggies (Carrots, peas and green beans)
1 cup Lean Hamburger
Sprinkled on Pine nuts (1/4 of 1/4 of a cup, not a lot! Just for taste!)
2teaspons Salsa

Serving Size: 2

It was pretty good, I'll admit! Now I'm full, and still have a whole other bowl ready for dinner or tomorrows lunch :)

I was out delivering all day in the van for work and it was hot so didn't fancy taking food that would go soggy . So I stopped at our local Co-op and brought a Chicken & bacon Pasta Salads (285 kcals) and a classic fruit salad (70kcals). Both really tasty and healthy. ;)

My schedule was thrown off, so when I finally got to eat lunch I was starving! Went the quick and easy route today: Lean Cuisine Chicken Margherita plus a chicken breast.

Always good to have a few frozen 'go to' things for days when the schedule goes out the window. ;)
  • That sounds good - minus the mushrooms :)

I had Smart Ones Santa Fe Beans and Rice
a veggie medley of broccoli, tomatoes, and carrots
a couple of Miss Vickies Jalepeno chips - for the heat
and a Diet Dr. Pepper for something sweet

    Have a good day!

I had a weight watchers frozen meal, I tend to stay away from the processed foods especially frozen meals, but it was a last resort.... Im getting ready to work out soon, I know Im going to be fatigued bc of it.
  • I am having 2 cups of spinach salad with salt and pepper, with Red wine vinegar.
100 grams of Chicken breast with lemon garlic seasoning and melba toast crumbled on top (like shake and bake).
    And a bread stick
    And lots of water :)

    1) Salad with Romaine Lettuce, mushrooms, cucumbers, black olives, lite ranch (a tbsp) - I usually like my salads with no dressings. I think the veggies are flavorful enough (I may be in the minority. hehe). Made an exception today though.
    2) 1/2 cup cantelope
    3) 4oz. cubed chicken

Homemade lite chicken salad on flatbread crisps.
    3 Cups of water.
  • Made myself the best meal for lunch ---

3 oz Great Value Chunk Chicken breast
    3/4 cup broccoli cuts
3/4 cup steam fresh whole grain brown rice
1 tsp Mrs. Dash spicy seasoning
    1 tsp pepper

mix in bowl, microwave for 2 minutes [broccoli cook first of course or microwave first at least 3 minutes]

I used the 1/4 cup of steam fresh whole grain brown rice with some sprays of "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter," and, sprinkle of nutmet, sprinkle of cinnamon and a tsp of Truvia artifical sweetner ---yum yum [microwave 30 seconds for warm yummy taste]

It tasted amazing, and tasted like I was eating food that was bad for me
and I am full and happy!!!!!! :drinker:

Mmmm, that sounds so good. I had a homemade taco salad with salsa at my school (I work at a small private school, so all "cafeteria food" is homemade by one amazing lady!), a cup of Mott's Peach Medley No Sugar Added applesauce, and lots of water. Never realized how much water curbs the appetite!

i had an organic highlander beef burger with homemade teriyaki sauce so yummy
  • Well I work at a Head Start and sometimes the lunch is good and sometimes its not that good and many times I dont really have much to eat since I am a vegetarian. So I usually just pack some snacks to eat either instead or to supplement what I could eat.

So today I had a biscuit that they made because I love biscuits and can barely ever resist them and then some almonds. Not the best lunch but I am actually really full and satisfied. I am glad that I plan ahead, but I could really do a better job of it. hmmm

2 slices of whole wheat bread (toasted so it's nice and crunchy)
    4 slices of tomato
    2 slices of white onion
    1 slice American Cheese
    Tons of lettuce
    Ketchup

    And fresh fruit.

(You could have it warm or cold- I had it cold)

    It's super good :)

I was going to put mayo AND ranch, but i decided not to since it'll just add 160 cals.
I'd rather have 160 calories to eat rather than spend on condiments.
I feel so good about my choices today.
