I have been very good at tracking everything I put in my mouth but sooner or later I am going to have a cheat day... Do you track your bad days?

Yes, log everything so there is no question.0

I log everything that I put into my body.
Sometimes I have to estimate my calories, but I try to get it as close as possible.0 -
i have found it motiviating to record those bad days to stay me on the course on regular days0
-
I log them. It makes me accountable. So when I get to "Why am I not losing?" I have proof of why.0
-
never skip anything! Put it all on paper so you are accountable for what you have put in your body. It can be a real eye opener!0
-
Yes except this last weekend when I was on vacation and decided to take one from logging to0
-

Absolutely! Log It! You then have a record of it and you can look back and see where you are going wrong x i have logged some pretty bad days x one day I ate 6000 calories but its all there in my diary x private of course hehehe because im a coward lol xxxxx0

Yep, I log absolutely everything. Sometimes if I go out to eat or something and can't find nutrition info I either put something similar from another restaurant or estimate (but I always estimate high just to be safe). I also don't really have 'cheat' days but if I really want something, I'll have it. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet and it isn't realistic to think that I won't eat out or eat cake ever again, I just do it in moderation.0

I log everything..good or bad.0

I log everything because bad days are days you learn from.0
-
Most of the time I log my bad days even if I have to estimate the cals it keeps me on the right track. Every so often it just gets too complicated...like if I have a little bit of a bunch of different things and then I don't log.0
-
I allow myself one cheat day on the weekend where I don't log at all. I usually make myself workout that day too. You can't be good all the time!!0
-
ok well no one look at my bad days haha I will log it all I guess it will make me think if its worth it or not0
-
Absolutely. I was planning on not logging on my birthday (it was my birthday, after all), but I ended up logging anyway. It helps me not let it get completely out of hand. Even though I went to Applebee's and had appetizers and dessert, I still managed to stay under my cals.0

I didn't even think about not logging today after my very very naughty dinner, but i can already feel myself learning from it.
I think I will do best if I do log and then I can always look back at it and see what the point was.0 -
I just logged A STICK OF GUM! Yeah, I log everything.

I thought that was the point of this site. I feel like if I'm not going to log everything, how is it going to help me? So yeah, I sure do!0
-
Yep, every single one of them. On an ocassion, I may miss a cracker that I sneak from my husband, or a sip of something, but I track everything... It helps me see my patterns and keeps me honest with myself. I don't ever feel bad about a day that I really go overboard because I can see how many days I did good, and it all balances out.0

I'm only tracking calories while in pursuit of my target weight. Counting calories is not a lifestyle change. Its just a measure for those looking to lose weight. Counting calories is a big no-no when it comes to keeping the weight you've lost off. Its a matter of watching what you put in your mouth We just need to re-educate ourselves on healthy portion size and knowing the difference between good and bad things to eat. Thankfully i get 10 hours of physical exercise every day at work.0

Yes. This past Sunday I went over by 900. I don't feel bad about going over, but it has made me think twice before going back for seconds, or having a late night snack I didn't really need. Also if I take a bite of someone else's food or "graze" at the breakroom table covered in sweets, I log those bites at 50 cals per bite. That really helps me stop the grazing.0

Absolutely!
Accountability and honesty are the key.0 -
Yes, I count EVERYTHING. If I put it in my mouth, I record it. That's how I found out that my fish oil supplement had 25 calories sigh
But also, on days I thought were bad, were not so bad after I logged it. So you really don;t know how bad the day is until you get an actual count.0 -
So far, I log everything. But I can see there being a day (vacation, party, work event, etc.) where I'm just grazing / munching all day, away from my phone / computer and not able to log. I'll just do my best to make good choices on those days.0
-
The biggest reason you track everything is so you see what you have done and howyour body interacts with that.0
-
Unfortunately.. but in the end it helps me recognize and correct what I'm doing wrong. I log everything..good, bad & ugly.

I was at a wedding recently and logged everything I ate and drank. All 2800 calories (estimated) If you don't log it all it will be tough to see what happened down the road if you're not losing weight.0
