According to http://www.self.com/calculatorsprograms/calculators/happyweight, my "happy weight" should be 132 lbs. I've been aiming for 140, so I'll see once I get in that neighborhood I guess. And apparently I'm "small framed" -- my wrist is barely 5" around. Who knew?

I agree, it depends on muscle mass, what size frame you have, etc. Someone with a larger frame would probably look unhealthy with a really low weight. But at the same time a smaller framed person with a higher body weight would probably look overweight. My wrist is 5 1/2 also, so if I were to gain a lot of weight I would def. look overweight.
Just depends on build, not so much height.

I'm 5'6 & 3/4" Ideally my goal weight would be 150... but recently had my body composition checked... and I'm afraid I have way too much muscle for that to be a realistic goal... I'd be happy with 175...

This is me also....I was 150-160 in high school and looked sickly!! 175-185 would be perfect for me...I was 180ish when I met my hubby and wore a size 12.....so this is my goal!

I'm 5'7" and I'm thinking 135 but as for most I'll see when I get there. It's been so long since I was at a happy weight I can't recall what it was!
  • 140-145. Several years ago I got down to 125 and looked like hell! Going to be focusing on weights and muscle, so 15 is more realistic.

I have it set to 140.

I look my best at 135, with regular, hard exercise. But you know what? I'm not so crazily dedicated to killing myself at a gym these days. so I put it to 140.

I look good anywhere between 129 and 150. It all depends on my exercise. Believe it or not, I am a size 6(or a 10) at all those weights, dependent on my exercise.

Basically, I want to get back into the thousands of dollars of clothes I have that are a 6. My exercise plan will determine what weight means I can fit into those clothes, while the weight would vary.

I'm 5'7" and my doctor said that a healthy weight for my height is between 125 and 162. I'm going for 145, hoping that maybe I can knock of a few last pounds once I get there, but I DEF don't want to be skin and bones!

I'm 5'6" and my goal is 130... maybe 125. No more than that though! I was 112 when I was 16 and it didn't look good on me. Everyone told me I needed to eat more.

My gw at 5'7" is 165- a lot higher than most of you! Before becoming a mom it was 147, but now I seem to fit comfortably into the same clothes at 165 as I did at 147 when I was younger. My bmi is still overweight at that point, but my body composition changed and I'm healthy there so I think it works.
  • 128. I used to be 120 when i was busy and swimming a ton. I don't want to be that small but I would like to fit into my old stuff.

Goal weight would be at 145...

ULTIMATE goal weight would be at 140.

Would like to lose the 18 lbs by the end of the summer.

Oh, and I forgot to mention....

I checked out http://www.self.com/calculatorsprograms/calculators/happyweight, and according to it, my "happy weight" was my original start weight (132 lbs) .

I looked flabby and overweight then!! Very out of shape, too.

Another one shooting for 130-140! I've been as small as 120 but I didn't look healthy at all - 140 is definitely my top end.

I went to a site that you measure your wrist and the space between your sides of your elbow bones. It determines if you are a small, medium, or large boned person. I will see if I can find it.

    http://www.healthstatus.com/frame_size.html

Then the link at the bottom goes to another page. The easiest way to measure the breadth of your elbow is to put your elbow up having your forearm parallel to the ground, palm facing you and take your thumb and finger and touch the 2 bones on either side of your elbow. Keep that space between your fingers and put them on a tape measure to measure the breadth of the elbow.

I'm 5'6" and according to BMI my ideal weight would be 137lbs...but anywhere between 126lbs and 154lbs is apparently healthy weight. I'm aiming for the ideal of 137lbs, although I think I'd be very happy at 140-147lbs!
