Breaking through weight loss plateau

I'm new to MFP and looking forward to improving my health by losing weight and increasing my fitness level. I loss 60lbs in 2010, but I have plateaued. If any one has tips on breaking through a plateau I would really like to hear them. I started out at 240lbs I 'm now 180lbs,but I have stopped losing. Thank you

Try changing it up.
Eg new calorie goal, or new exercise routine, etc. Do something different that your body hasn't become accustomed to.
I upped my calories from 1350 to 1500 and that did it for me0 -
I echo the "change it up" strategy. Also, eat different foods... And depending on your calorie intake and goals, you might actually try eating a few more calories... slow your weight loss target. If you are trying to lose too fast, your body might be going into a defensive mode and slowing your metabolism.0
