Aaargh - I have failed miserably this week! Well... did well with the fruits/veggies up until today but didn't get in any new exercises! I'm heading out of town camping so won't be able to check in the rest of the weekend so... hope everyone has an excellent long weekend and I look forward to next week's challenge:)0

3 fruits and 4 veggies...now that I'm getting used to it, I find that it's getting easier to get the seven servings in...and even stranger, I find myself craving vegetables!!! I don't think that has EVER happened to me before!!!
I also tried the dip exercise that is part of the assisted chin up machine that I tried on Monday...I think between those 2 exercises, that is my new favorite machine!!!!!0 -

Finally tried a “new exercise” last night. Actually it was a Boot Camp class that I haven’t been to since last year. The last time I took the class, I had to stop several times because that is a tough class. Im happy to report that I SURVIVED! The class was still tough but I only stopped once or twice and I was able to do some exercises that I have been struggling with. So, I will be taken that Boot Camp class weekly.

Usually my post workout green juice is the greens listed above, carrots and an apple and lime. I just felt like using the left over fruits :-D

I thought it would be fun to inform this group that I've noticed an increase in BM frequency! Anyone else getting this lately from adding more fruits/veggies into their diets? My naturopath's been trying things to get me to go more often. Who knew a few more veggies was all it would take? I'm 2 for 2 now. :bigsmile: (TMI!!!)0

Tbever-I know the feeling, Im not a veggie lover. It’s taken me awhile to force myself to eat veggies. Just take it one day at a time. Congrats on making it to the 180’s!

Ok, so still 0/7 days on the veggies/ but today was much closer!! And a far cry better than where I started this week! I did print out a new asparagus recipe that I am going to try tomorrow! I can't believe I just said that!! Before starting this, I thought chocolate was a veggie?? It should at least be a major food group! LOL!

2 of each today...I left most of them to eat at the end of the day (planned to have a big leftover salad for a late dinner, and applesauce for dessert) and wasn't feeling well (or at all hungry) and didn't want to force food down just to make my servings.
(And I'm NOT one of those people who has trouble getting to their calorie amount...I generally can't even understand how people have that problem, lol, so I def feel it was more important to not eat if I wasn't at all hungry).0 -
Today I tried a belly dance DVD that's been on my shelf since I bought it. It's with Rachel Brice, who did some choreography for Shakira. I did the 15 minute routine, cause I knew my sister would be pounding on the door for me to get out any minute. It included yoga and drills, and I liked it. I wanna see what else is involved in the longer routines.

I just wanted to let everyone know how much I am enjoying this challenge and this group!!!! :flowerforyou: I have already met some amazing women here and look forward to participating in the next challenge!! :drinker: I must say that the fruit/veggie part of the challenge has really made me think about it as far as servings and making sure I am meeting my daily needs. Unfortunately I did not do as well with the new exercise part of the challenge!! ::grumble: This is because I started Turbo Jam on Monday. I am really enjoying it and you burn a lot of calories!!!!

I just wanted to report that that Rachel Brice DVD I did yesterday messed up my back a little bit. I guess I worked it too hard, and now my old back injury is acting up... It hasn't been really bad since January, so I'm mostly staying off the computer, and laying around the house until it feels better... Gotta get to that new chiropractor soon!0

Yesterday I tried a new spinning class that I hadn't done before! I normally spin every Friday for a 1/2 hour. Yesterday at a different gym that I go to, I tried a full hour class with a differenct instructor, so I think I am counting that!! Wow, it was really hard!! So much harder than the 1/2 hour class!!
Fruits/veggies yesterday was not as great!! Back to 4! I feel like it was a victory though, I purposefully bought veggies at the store, and I made that asparagus recipe that I talked about! You know I think that chocolate should be considered a veggie right, so the fact that I made asparagus, something that I have NEVER done in this house, is HUGE!! My husband even liked it, and said he would eat it again!! YEAH!! I gotta say, it had some parmesan cheese on it, and some ranch dressing and was baked, but it was still asparagus! Baby steps!! Maybe someday the thought of a veggie tray won't totally gross me out!
Congrats to all of you that get all those servings in everyday!! Very inspirational to me! This challenge has definitely made me think about my veggies, and think ahead! That's why I love it!0 -
